About this listen

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“ (InTouch Weekly)

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

Wow

My first Rebecca Yarros book and OMG what a beautiful story. A tearjerker that hit me in the feels in the last hour, but a beautifully written story I will definitely listen to again - almost in the hope that I can do so without blubbering. I would almost like a sequel, but I think the book stands up on its own. Off to find more books from this author.

Bittersweet

A lovely story. There’s happiness and sorrow. Perfectly captures emotions. Some steamy scenes. A great listen. Would make a good movie.

Had me in floods!

Thoroughly enjoyed this heart wrenching book. Not my usual genre of read, but glad I gave it a go, as it was an easy listen, with nice characters who sucked the empathy from me by the bucket!

Heartbreaking

Loved this book but if you are suffering from grief then maybe not a good idea.

Addictive

I’m not quite sure how I ended up listening to this book. If I had read the ‘back cover’ I would’ve ignored it because it has lots of subjects that I usually avoid. However, I was glued to it within the 1st few pages. It made me laugh, cry and kept me up late at night because I didn’t want to put it down. I will definitely be reading/listening to more from Rebecca.

When I say I sobbed, I sobbed.

Honestly what a powerfully emotional book. Grief , loss, love and family. Heartbreaking book but laced with love

Absolute roller coaster of love in its many forms

Do not listen to this audiobook while driving or without a box….And I mean BOX of tissues….Roller coaster of emotions from start to finish. Ella & Beckett are impossible to not love.

Outstanding book!

I absolutely loved the caracters in this book. I feel so much love for both of the main caracters, and the children... Wow!

I knew something sad would happen, because I read the reviews before I started reading. It kept me guessing through out the book, which was kind of stressful.

It's very difficult to say much about this book without giving away important parts of the story, so I won't.
It will make you smile, laugh, replay parts of it, maybe cry some, feel irritated, overwelmed with emotions and love...
Some will finish it fast, I did it in 2 days, while working.
Others will need to take breaks, and maybe listen to something else inbetween..
It simply depends on where you are in your own life.
If you are strugling in your own life, than maybe this is not the right time to read this.
Put is aside for later, or take breaks, but don't walk away. Because it will be one of the best books you'll ever listen to.
And you will keep this story with you forever.

The narrators did a wonderful job. Can't imagine anyone else doing it better.
