About this listen

‘How long have I got, Doc? Five days? Five weeks? Five months? Five years?’

‘Months,’ the oncologist replied.

When he heard this devastating news, Steve Legg and his wife Bekah made a bold decision – they would get busy living and get busy laughing.

Yes, there were tears that day and in those that followed, but Steve is a funnyman and a man of faith. He was never going to give cancer the last laugh.

In his latest book, international baffler and funny guy, Steve Legg, faces the no-joke reality of the diagnosis of a terminal illness. An engaging listen throughout, the book will lead you to the most wonderful of all conclusions: that we are never, ever alone, and never, ever forsaken.

But this is not just Steve’s story; he draws lessons that can change not only the way we view our death – but also our life.

Hope. Heart. Humour. Humanity. This gripping story has everything.

Steve has written a detailed and honest reflection on his battle with Cancer so far. It gives a great reminder that as Christians we aren't immune from suffering but that God is with us through it all and will one day take us home.

Read the book, but had to listen to Steve telling his own story. It was beautifully told with his normal wit and humor, but also can hear the ups and downs of his emotions Honest and touching. Not sure how he managed to do this, but we are blessed to hear it and keep it. Something not to miss.

Natural emotion and honesty

What I like about "The Last Laugh: Reflections of a Funnyman with Terminal Cancer" By Steve Legg, is the ever present "look on the bright side" attitude of the writer as he deals with the challenges of terminal cancer. We get a peak inside of his blended family and the joy they experience as Steve decides to live a full life in the face of death. A message all could use and take advantage of considering death is an appointment none of us are going to miss. Hebrews 9:27. This is a fine message of faith and true love, that is sure to inspire the listener to have a better attitude of gratitude for all God has done, with the sacrifice of His Son.

An Inspiring Message of Faith and Love!

Such a captivating story! Couldn’t stop listening to this! A story of struggles and great times, a mix of so many emotions. A great story of faith and hope but also the hard times. He tells of the support of his family and friends and even manages to tell a few jokes. A truly heartfelt story!

Great listen

Although I had already read the book, listening to Steve reading his own book meant so much more as he was telling his own story in his own voice.
knowing Steve personally, it was a tier jurker, knowing him a person full of life and how he lives to tell of Jesus to all wether in shows in halls or on village greens in the open air, he is still stepping out of the boat to tell what Jesus still means to him even in the hard times.
The Lord is still his Shephard, no mater what.
thanks Steve for your faithfulness to your wife, family, friends, and most of all to your Lord Jesus Christ, who will one day will say Well done Good and Faithful Servant.

A very challenging and thought stiring listen
