Summary
The Last Emperox is the thrilling conclusion to the award-winning, New York Times and USA Today best-selling Interdependency series, an epic space opera adventure from Hugo Award-winning author John Scalzi.
The collapse of The Flow, the interstellar pathway between the planets of the Interdependency, has accelerated. Entire star systems - and billions of people - are becoming cut off from the rest of human civilization. This collapse was foretold through scientific prediction...and yet, even as the evidence is obvious and insurmountable, many still try to rationalize, delay and profit from, these final days of one of the greatest empires humanity has ever known.
Emperox Grayland II has finally wrested control of her empire from those who oppose her and who deny the reality of this collapse. But "control" is a slippery thing, and even as Grayland strives to save as many of her people form impoverished isolation, the forces opposing her rule will make a final, desperate push to topple her from her throne and power, by any means necessary. Grayland and her thinning list of allies must use every tool at their disposal to save themselves, and all of humanity. And yet it may not be enough.
Will Grayland become the savior of her civilization...or the last emperox to wear the crown?

Bittersweet
The trilogy has been brilliant, brought to a fitting conclusion. It is such a shame that the storyline has had to end and possibly taken a turn of direction to either Earth or End could have been an interesting option to continue the story with fantastic narration from Mr Wheaton. One can but hope.

Always brilliant
Brilliantly written as always. John Scalzi never seems to disappoint. Wil Wheaton just has the perfect voice for narration. Absolutely loved the entire trilogy.

Good until the end
This was a great ending to a good series.
The entire story was different and it made me curious where it would go.
I appreciated the ending and it even left the option open for additional stories.
Hope for more books.

Amazing performance from Wil Wheaton!
NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW
This is the third in an excellent futuristic series of books by John Scalzi. Will Wheaton narrates it and does an amazing job, easily navigating this book, which required several different accents to distinguish between characters. A brilliant series that I very highly recommend. John Scalzi has written many other SciFi books. I highly recommend that you check out his other titles. I also highly recommend looking for more books narrated by Wil Wheaton as he has done many other titles by John Scalzi and other amazing SciFi writers.

Scalzi is easily my favourite SciFi author...
The Last Emperox is the latest in John Scalzi's world of courtly intrigue in his space empire, "The Interdependency" . It's populated by beautifully realised characters, who drive a simple, but gripping story. It's clever, amusing in a smile all the time way, rather than laugh out loud like HHGTTG, in places it's touching and it is fast paced. I loved it and despite the title I look forward to the next episode, which will no doubt explore Lord Mars and his adventures finding Earth. One small niggle I feel is almost churlish to mention... "Coronated" - REALLY?

An Excellent Finale
Superb finale to a great trilogy, twists, surprises, occasional profanity and great characters., helped in no small measure by Wil Wheaton's narration.

A fitting end to a memorable space opera.
Easy to listen too, great pace, oddly humorous and stuffed with the series trademark "laugh out loud vulgarity" meets Lords and Lady's style medieval European court intrigue.
