Summary
Newly and uneasily allied, two tribes from different worlds set off across the Ocean of Grass. Their mission is to fulfil a prophecy and take Ottar the Moaner west of west, to save mankind. In their way are the denizens of the Badlands, the most terrifying and powerful collection of murderers and monsters the world has ever seen.

Can’t get enough of this series
I’m usually into “serious” historical fiction but I enjoy how this story has unfolded. Beautifully written story is and the narration is spot on.

Superb as always
Angus Watson is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. Vikings, ancient Americans, a sprinkle of magic and a cast of misfits? Count me in, looking forward to the next one.
Sean’s performance was superb, but the audio quality was lacking sometimes- really struggled to hear when he was talking low (especially in car journeys). Easy to fix with a half decent engineer...

Can't wait to hear the next one
Why do I always have to write something at the end of each and every book?

Uncanny valley
Elements of the familiar combined with complete weirdness. Great tragedy and comedy with a superb group of evolving characters. Brilliantly narrated.
