Unbearable narration
Story is quite good with a few twists and turns but the narration was almost unbearable, sounds like news presenters putting on the worst possible version of their voices

I love this story
I liked listening so i didnt get spoilers and some of them were great at telling it but i didnt like some of the narrators due to pronunciations, but it was still great listening to them. I think the storyline was brilliant, you also get a false sense of whose story it is. each part was sectioned perfectly and I didn't want to stop listening. I liked the amount of back story we got at each point but only getting enough to move the story on while still holding suspense until each part was revealed, Lily's character was very unexpected. I feel like this was a great standalone but also a good start for detective Kimble. it was intriguing as you go along and everything was shocking especially the ending; the story as a whole turned out to not be what I thought from the beginning. it was also fascinating listening to Ted and Lily talk and their own thoughts and ideas, I also think the concept is interesting. Gripping and thrilling .

Money and murder, not so much thriller
Murders and money, a well illustrated story but I didn’t find it that interesting. Not really a thriller

Lots of twists
It started of slow but it got really good in part 2. The quality of audio is really bad (sounds like everyone is in a can) but that's a publisher issue. The main character pronounces some words in a REALLY annoying way so it was a tough listen at times. The story made it worth it though!

Narration is terrible but the story is brilliant
I didn’t think I’d be able to continue listening after hearing the robotic narration for female lead but I persevered due to the reviews on how brilliant the story was and I’m so glad I did!
Loved the connection, the twists, the double crossing and the cliff hanger ending, will we get a second?
I would 100% recommend this book but probably as a paper back/ kindle read rather than audible due to the narration

A bit farfetched but worth a listen
I enjoyed the story but it's completely farfetched and odd. I would have liked some kind confirmation that Lilly was a serial killer instead of just unhinged with a vendetta. The character didn't seem driven enough for her motive to be revenge and so it's hard to believe she'd get involved with Ted at all. The ending was also quite annoying. It wanted to be clever but it felt more like a cop out. Like the author wanted to tie up loose ends. Other than that I think it's a good listen and some might find the storyline reasonable. I normally hate American accents for narrators but the performance wasn't too grating and I actually grew to like Lilly's voice.
