About this listen

Do you ever wish you had an identical twin? I bet you think it would be like having a built-in best friend. You might imagine that the two of you would spend all of your time together, finish each other's sentences, and share a special, secret bond that only the two of you can truly understand.

For me, the reality of being a twin is far removed from that wonderful fantasy. Despite our almost identical appearances, Nixie is better than me at everything. She is the smart one, the pretty one, the athletic one, the one with a magnetic personality, the witty one - the list goes on and on.

I have gotten used to it, but that doesn't mean I like it.

A couple of years ago, I moved down to the Florida Keys because I wanted to escape from my sister's shadow and begin building a life of my own. I think I have done a great job of it, too. When a tragic twist of fate suddenly pulls me back into Nixie's shining orbit, I feel like my newly found confidence and autonomous lifestyle are at risk.

Am I ever going to find someone who will choose me over my twin? You can listen to my diary today to find out.

Great ending to the trilogy!

Do you keep a journal? I love this series by Ann Omasta. Hearing the inner most thoughts of these women, writing things we all think is so refreshing. Trixie is a little different from the first two in the series. She is not as easy to relate to. I am not sure why, but she still was entertaining. She is a twin, and feels inferior to sister. But an auto accident brings her home to her sister’s bedside and some time to write her feelings. There is a lot of learning and growing in this one. She opens up about her feelings for her sister, Nixie and her budding relationship with Diego. We go on the ups and downs of her life, and see her perspective on life. With a fun ending, bringing Fern, Mariana together this series ends with a wonderful happily ever after. Narrated by the talents of the author, Ann Omasta gives her spin on the story just as she heard it as she wrote it. She has a way of bringing her works to life and I love that she lets us hear it as intended. Another fun and relaxing listen!
