Summary

Some murders are so clever...they almost fool everyone. Almost.

Join your favorite Yorkshire detective Daniel Ward on his next gripping murder case.

Ward and Nowak are assigned to investigate a death outside Keighley and when the pathology report arrives, more than a few eyebrows are raised. As more victims drop, Ward realises he’s onto a serial killer with a list to hit. Only this one is so insidious, their tracks are nigh impossible to trace. Ward has to find the culprit—before another victim dies.

As if that’s not enough, a breakthrough on the Varga caseload delivers a target of such high value Ward will do anything to set this one in his crosshairs. The only trouble is Ward’s not done with Varga yet...and Varga’s not done with Ward.

The D.I. Daniel Ward crime thrillers are a gripping, character-driven series perfect for fans of L. J. Ross, Rachel McLean, and Elly Griffiths. Essential listening for anyone wondering what dark secrets hide amongst Yorkshire's picturesque rolling moors....

Book 4

Loved book 4 . Alan's voice is easy to listen too although kept having to go back chapters when he soothes me off to sleep 🤗. Cannot wait for book 5 hopefully I can get it now and continue the saga.

How does she do it?

The books get better every time. The deep thought that goes into the plots is amazing yet so believable. The characters are so well drawn I know and love them. I’m now going to buy the next book and can’t wait to listen to this wonderful narrator. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good story, nicely paced.

Nice local flavour. I appreciate many will not know the locale but for me, knowing the area well added realism as i mentally travelled with DI Ward.
