Welcome to The Island.
Where your worst fears are about to come true.
It was supposed to be the perfect holiday: a week-long trip for six teenage friends on a remote tropical island. But when their guide dies of a stroke leaving them stranded, the trip of a lifetime turns into a nightmare. Because someone on the island knows each of the group’s worst fears. And one by one, they’re becoming a reality.
Seven days in paradise. A deadly secret.
Who will make it off the island alive?
Critic reviews
"Kept me awake long after I’d finished reading – terrifyingly good!" (Tamsyn Murray)
"A fantastic YA tale with a claustrophobic setting and a cast of characters who each have something to hide. I couldn’t put it down." (Chris McDonald)

Great read
this was a good easy read.
I did not see where it was going and I think it is good that it highlighted how different people cope with situations.

a young adult novel!!!!
I didn't realise this was a young adult novel and bought in error. I listened nonetheless, and while not for me it was entertaining and sophisticated enough. 4 stars cos I would have loved this many years ago, and to mark down because of my mistake would not be fair.

Solid mystery suspense book
I noticed a lot of reviews about this being a YA title, but its a strong story, not without its faults, but no worse for being a YA title, its dealing with teenagers, the challenges they have while also addressing the larger story of what is happening on the Island.
There is a bit too much misdirection in the 2nd act where it feels like its obviously trying to force you down certain expectations that arent the antagonist but the 3rd act and reveal certainly make up for that and one of the more solid conclusions to a story i've read in some time.
