About this listen

Things are finally looking good for Captain Frey and his crew. The Ketty Jay has been fixed up good as new. They've got their first taste of fortune and fame. And, just for once, nobody is trying to kill them.

Even Trinica Dracken, Frey's ex-fiancée and long-time nemesis, has given up her quest for revenge. In fact, she's offered them a job - one that will take them deep into the desert heart of Samarla, the land of their ancient enemies. To a place where the secrets of the past lie in wait for the unwary.

Secrets that might very well cost Frey everything.

Join the crew of the Ketty Jay on their greatest adventure yet: a story of mayhem and mischief, rooftop chases and death-defying races, murderous daemons, psychopathic golems and a particularly cranky cat.

The first time was to clear his name. The second time was for money. This time, Frey's in a race against the clock for the ultimate prize: to save his own life.

Just Brilliant

I loved reading these books and I’ve loved listening to them too. I only hope Chris Wooding one day writes some more books with these characters because the 4 he’s done are just so,so good!

Doesn't disappoint

This series has become one of my all time favourite reads. There isn't a weak character on show. Every crew member holds my attention and unlike alot of novels I didn't find myself rushing through parts to get to a more interesting character or sub plot. It's crying out for a TV series.

As soon as book 4 is out on audible I will grab it on day of release. 4 is the last of the series and I know I'm going to miss them all. In fact I'm a little worried about how it ends. 4 books just won't be enough!

Narrator is perfect for the story.

Get the series NOW!!😁

So fun and entertaining

Rupert Degas is hands down THE BEST narrator. And this third book of the Kerry Jay series does not disappoint! I’m so sad I only have one book left

A consistently great series

A fun pulp tale narrated excellently. a more cynical sort would call this a diesel-punk Firefly (as if that were a bad thing) but I think the setting is more interesting and the crew's characters arcs are more engaging.

Excellent once again, but....

Excellent once again, but it does feel a little over stretched Wooding seems to want to put loads of Character arcs in one book as well as new characters which sort of over stuffs the book. Still not bad though definitely the weakest so far. Degas' narration is on top form as ever.
