Summary
Please Note: The audio has been updated for better sound quality.
This audiobook was created based on Clayton Christensen's landmark book The Innovator's Dilemma. This was Mr. Christensen's synopsis of his book for the Harvard Business Review. The audio tracks listed here cover the key elements of Mr. Christensen's book. This audiobook emphasizes the Idea in Brief "Does my organization have the right resources, processes, values, and team to innovate?" Then it covers the right structure for your specific type of innovation. He identifies where capabilities reside, in resources, processes, and values. He then addresses the migration of capabilities, illustrates it with the example of Digital Equipment (DEC), defines sustaining versus disruptive innovation, how to create capabilities to cope with change - internally, in a spinout, or an acquisition - and how to fit the tool to the task.

Poor narration spoiled good underlying message
To be clear, it wasn't the quality of the recording I had issue with. When I purchased this download, there was a note about the original version having been re-recorded. Nor was I expecting the whole book in place of the summary I got.
My main issue was with the narrator's apparent inability to recognise fairly unremarkable words and phrases, which he would stumble over with great difficulty. By putting pauses in the middle of words and butchering the phrasing, he actually made it much harder to understand the message.
Examples include "roadblock", "new initiative" and even "that fact" although there were many others!
On the positive side, I really liked the author's main observation, that established organisations find it difficult to innovate using established processes and values.

I expected a full book not an extract
A few good points but way too short - this is not the full version as I expected

Terrible audio and reading quality
This is a great book, but the reader really makes a hash of if. It's presented in a really dull manner, like it's been recorded in someone's bedroom and the reader even slurs his speech at times. Not recommended. Buy the book!

Audio quality could be better
Other than a poor recording quality this book was good. A very pleasant length, succinct and to the point. Needless to say Christensen is a master in the topic of disruptive innovation.

It is a SUMMARY not the full book!
The summary enclosed is good. But why is it not titled a Summary. At just over 1 hour I should have realised it’s not the full book, but please relabel to be clearer.

Poor
The audio quality was poor, the presenter's tone is monotonous and this title was presented on Audible as though it was the full book, which it is not.

Bad recording and (perhaps) not BY Christensen
Wish I'd read the previous reviewers comments before I bought. I think there are some interesting points from the book here (and the product is quite cheap) but it really does sound like it was recorded in a bathroom! Is this in any way actually BY Clayton Christensen? It appears someone is summarising Christensen's book making this in fact a piece by DEAVER BROWN ....with all due respect I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have bought a book by Mr Brown.
Feel free to purchase as long as you understand this a recording ABOUT a book - I should have checked more closely...

A really concise read for entrepreneurs
one of Steve Job's most reads. I found it a little dense but really useful.

Gulp
Improves sound quality? Sure thing. But the narrator sometimes sounds like he’s about to puke

Poor. Summary not the book
This was a summary text and not the actual audiobook. It should be clearer on the description that this is the case. Audio was sub par. Hard to follow.
