Summary
As an “amateur” filmmaker, I can't rightfully boast of being another Spielberg or Eastwood, but I know a really crappy movie when I see one. For example: the ever-present “final girl” chase scene at the end of most low-budget horror films. There is always a faceless killer you only see as a shadow or wearing a hockey mask and carrying some sort of weapon that just happened to be handy at the time, like a big knife or chainsaw or machete.
And the killer is always chasing a bleach blonde bimbo with cruise missle boobs hanging out of her skimpy top, her loud, banshee-like screaming making your teeth grind as she proceeds to cry hokey, crocodile tears as the killer closes in on her.
In reality? That is not the way it happens at all. I should know, from experience...
