About this listen
Quentin Davenport is my ex-boyfriend’s father ...
And my new marriage of convenience husband
When my boyfriend leaves me at the altar
Quentin offers to marry me!
No way can I accept it,
Especially since Quentin is much older than me
He's a tall, dark and tattooed former Marine,
Whose grumpy disposition leaves much to be desired.
But this way I can salvage my dignity...
Also, I can get back at my ex.
Besides, it’s a fake marriage.
So there’s no fear of developing feelings... right?
When he offers to put my younger sister through college....and pay for my father’s medical treatment.
I can’t refuse him.
Only he has conditions:
I must live with him, as his wife.
I must pretend to be his.
I must convince his family that I love him.
Living under the same roof as man and wife, I see a different side of my husband.
The pretend marriage begins to feel very realI begin to dream of a future with him.
I am going to get my Happily Ever After...
But what happens when I walk into his office and see him with the mother of his son...?
This is a marriage of convenience, ex-boyfriend's father, forced proximity, billionaire romance, with an HEA. There is no cheating, no OW/OM drama, and no third act breakup.

Not for me
Was sent an audio book Code so have listened and review as a courtesy.
The storyline is a bit to out there for me.
I have no triggers but in all honesty found the book too much couldn’t get into the story and am finding it difficult to finish.
This is just my personal opinion I’m sure others will love it

Laxmi you had me through the wringer with this story. Loved the slow burn between Vivian and Quentin. As always narration is so good.

Another good one
I like the way this author writes, and her humor. This was not her best book but it was still a good one.
If you have liked her other books you will like this one to.

Predictable But Entertaining
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 rounded to 4⭐️ on Goodreads and retail sites. L Steele’s The Imperfect Marriage: Quentin & Vivian’s Story is the second book in The Davenports series. When Quentin Davenport’s son left Vivian at the altar, he gave into an overwhelming compulsion and offered to marry her, which she refused. The grumpy, tattooed, former Marine remained persistent, however, and when he offered to pay for her father’s cancer treatment and her sister’s college tuition, Vivian agreed. His conditions were that they live together as husband and wife and that she convince his family that she was in love with him. This is an age-gap, marriage of convenience, ex-boyfriend’s father, forced proximity, retired military, billionaire romance. I’ve listened to a number of titles by this author, and have found them to be spicy and entertaining, and similar. This audiobook seemed to fall into the same mold. The Dominant MMC executes a full court press, while simultaneously denying any true emotional attachment, and he gradually learns the error of his ways. It is a formula that works, and is accompanied by enough spice and open door scenes to keep the reader fanning themselves throughout the entire story. Shane East always adds to the steam with his English accent and Stella Hunter did an excellent reading of Vivian’s POV. I love that so many of the characters from the other series I have reviewed make their way into the author’s subsequent books. If you enjoy a super steamy, English billionaire romance audiobook, then check out this one.
I would like to thank L Steele for gifting this audiobook. I am voluntarily writing this honest review.

Fabulous story demonstrating complexity of family rivalries
She was jilted at the altar, then proposed to by his father, she embarks on forging a relationship of submission and dominance. A gritty story full of rivalry, dishonesty and betrayal between the characters but love conquers all
Fabulous story that's well written with great narrations I will enjoy re listening to this book again
