Talks about matters such as the expansion of the Universe (discovered 1933) - these are not the words of a 6th century man!
Firstly, this is the most impactful book in all of human history. Just for that reason it is worth reading, even if from an historical perspective. This is a book that is revered by billions, and is full of wonder and majesty. From the expansion of the Universe to clear statements on the equality of humankind, I cannot accept that an illiterate peasant of 6th Century Arabia could have summoned words containing such wisdom and scientific insight; the source is clearly divine. Clear of contradictions and without error, unlike other religious texts which are full to the brim of edits and mistakes rendering them incapable of claiming to be divine. If God were to send his word to humans, it would be like this; in its original form and without error and containing information far beyond the capability of any 6th Century man. Marvellous!
