Summary

Assassination can be a messy business, especially if you’re having a bad day.

Dan Jones is the ultimate problem solver, the hitman for crime boss Fliss Bauer.

Fliss has a rival, Kalindra Dallin. She runs a particularly unpleasant planet. Dan is told to arrange her demise. It’s just another job; until a random event means that it all goes horribly wrong.

To save his skin, Dan is forced to try again, only this time he has to work with a partner. He doesn’t want to but it’s the only chance he’s going to get; if he wants to put things right.

Can the hitman and the thief get the job done, more importantly, can they keep each other alive?

👍Pretty Good

I enjoyed the story a couple of twist a fair amount of backstabbing & murder all round good job dragged a bit in the middle really enjoyed the end can't wait to see what is going to happen next.
the narration was good a little robotic but worked with the story. A+ 👍

Poor

Poor, the author thinks there are some interesting surprises in the book. But there are none because none of us is as dumb as the main character. it's just poor to below average on all fronts.
no great action, no great surprises, no brilliant storytelling, it's all bland and very predictable. Could also have been written as a non-scfi book ( probably better). it is my worst audible purchase ever.
To be clear the narrator is fine its juts the story that sucks
