Summary

Cutting-edge science. Bloodthirsty aliens. Can this band of nerdy scientists save the multiverse one dimension at a time?

Brilliant physicist Zeke Travers is on the brink of a scientific breakthrough...and a nervous breakdown. So after the beta test of his interdimensional drive goes off without a hitch, he breathes a sigh of relief. But when an alien warship materializes out of nowhere with guns blazing, Zeke and his team must risk using their invention to jump to a parallel universe.

Uncertain how to return to their native continuum, Zeke’s nerd squad must blind-hop across the omniverse from high-tech galaxies to magic-powered medieval planets. Hunted by ridiculously persistent and savage attackers, Zeke suspects the pursuers are only puppets of a far more shadowy evil. And with every roll of the interstellar dice, he fears they’re falling deeper into its sinister clutches.

Can Zeke uncover the dark force behind the attacks in time to save his crew and avoid interdimensional mayhem?

The Heisenberg Corollary is the first book in the hilarious Slagmaster Cycles, a science fiction fantasy mash-up series with an attitude. If you like quirky characters, non-stop action, and geeky pop-culture references, then you’ll love C. H. Duryea’s snarky, laugh-out-loud pause-resister. Buy The Heisenberg Corollary today to boldly go where no geek has gone before!

Fantastic Sci-fi Fantasy!

This interdimensional story keeps the reader fully engaged. The fast pace and sometimes funny parts had me laughing at times then holding my breath at others. The story is very well written and fantastically narrated. It's so easy to visualize this world because the author is very adept at being perfectly descriptive without causing information overload. I love all the added sound effects in the audiobook as well. Highly recommended!

A right rollicking romp around the Omniverse!

'The Heisenberg Corollary' by CH Duryea contains lots of action, twists and turns in the tale and plenty of wry humour. And then there is an interesting epilogue which is one of those “Aha!” moments as in “I knew there had to be some kind of connection there!”, but exactly what it is continues the mystery. Looking forward to finding out what additional adventures will materialise in the next book.

I enjoyed this right rollicking romp around the Omniverse with the motley crew of nerdy scientists who end up teamed with an alien giant crustacean after he comes to their aid in an alternative high-tech universe. Dice appear early on in the piece and reference to one of the nerdy scientist’s partiality for role-playing games becomes more significant as they subsequently seem to end up within one of his RPG worlds on a magic-powered medieval planet. The aggressive alien force capable of interdimensional travel that attacked them in their own universe appears to follow them wherever they go. What is it that they really want, why, and are they actually pawns in someone else’s game?

The Audible version of this book is impressively narrated by Will Hahn. In addition to producing an extensive range of distinctive voices for the various characters, Will Hahn has added a substantial amount of sound effects to create more drama; it actually sounds like a full-scale radio production.

Suspend your disbelief and go with the flow, have a good laugh and enjoy the entertainment!

Disappointing

The story line of the book was good, the narrator was not. He used too much of a sing-song narration style of narration that to me was distracting. It is much like LitRPG than a story.

The book involved researchers who had devices a method to traverse realities and the misadventures when it is activated.
