Enjoyable
I really liked the book. I wish some things, for example, the black water, would be explained a bit more but thats just my preference - i like when everything is really clear and explained. Still, the book was really enjoyable and interesting

The Haunted
Disclaimer, I got the book for free.
The Haunted is a short mystery story about a boy named Johan and what happened to him. The overall premise of the story can be guessed early on but this doesn't necessarily subtract from the story.
The writing is easy to understand and doesn't get lost in descriptions or try to be overly complex, it's probably best suited for a teen audience. I enjoyed the book but wouldn't call it extraordinary in either premise or execution, though it's a worthwhile listen for mystery fans.
At first I didn't enjoy the narrator's performance much but he really grew on me! Good job!

Weird narration
I couldnt get past the random upward inflections in the narration which made statements sound like questions. e.g. when being told what the main character is doing "Johan looked over the banister?"

Not what I thought it was about
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Matthew Dell
I found the name deceiving, I was expecting a ghost story but that’s not what this is. It was more a metaphor I guess for depression, the toll of life on the main character and it left me feel melancholy.
Lots of description in this story, a lot of it repetitive to the point it’s rambling, unfortunately it didn’t hold my interest.
The narration was ok but there were times when you could tell there had been a break in recording as the sound and tone of voice altered.

Really really good! Narrator Matthew is brilliant!👏🏽
Loved this story by William Diggs🤗 couldn’t stop listening, it really has you engrossed with it and all the descriptions makes you visualise actually being there! I love these types of books. Thoroughly enjoyed this and Matthew Dell was REALLY good! I thought he done a brilliant job of reading this just as it should have been read! So a huge well done to Matthew👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 and thank you William for an amazing story!! I Will look out for more of your books for sure! Thank you audible for another amazing book!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽♥️♥️xxx
