Concise
Concise, interesting and a great narrator. A perfect introduction to the topic and I would recommend.

A very interesting overview...
...of an event I've known about all my life, but really knew very little about. JK's narration made it an enjoyable way to keep my mind occupied on the bus.

Love the 'History in an Hour' series
The 'History in an Hour' series is wonderful for anyone wanting to dip their toe into a subject for a great price. However, don't be fooled by them only being an hour long, I have many episodes of the series and each one I have listened to so far is packed with information on the relevant subject, and, is a great primer to explore the each subject further. Worth every penny.

A great overview and flawless narration.
This book offers a treasure trove of fascinating bits and pieces, providing both a comprehensive overview of the period and what caused the plot, as well as intriguing little details about those involved. (Such as Guy Fawkes being called Guido or using the fake name of John Johnson on the night of the plot.)
The narration is flawless. Jonathan Keeble could read a list of groceries, and I would enjoy it enormously. His voice is magical!

A timely listen
A timely listen, given the recent attack on Westminster. I'm not sure if there are parallels to be drawn between the two instances but it certainly has given pause for thought.
Interesting too to get some more detailed background on Bonfire Night, which is an unavoidable part of growing up in England, especially on the other less famous plotters.
Jonathan Keeble reads well, as ever, though he does have a tendency to say the word 'Protestantism' quite oddly ('Protest-ANT-ism'), which does grate a bit given the word's frequency.
All in all though, another good value listen from this series.

Great sum up
The history in an hour series is a great little sum up for those of us who weren’t paying attention at school! I’ve really enjoyed listening to these and being educated without it being a drag.
