Summary
Now well into her apprenticeship with magician Emery Thane, 20-year-old Ceony Twill is continuing to discover the joy of paper magic. She adores bringing her spells to life in surprising ways, from learning the power of distortion to creating a beloved paper dog. And she secretly hopes that the romance she foresaw blossoming between her and the peculiar yet strikingly handsome Emery finally becomes real.
But when one magician with a penchant for deadly scheming believes that Ceony possesses a secret, he vows to discover it… even if it tears apart the very fabric of their magical world. After a series of attacks target Ceony, and catch those she holds most dear in the crossfire, she knows she must find the true limits of her powers… and keep her knowledge from falling into wicked hands.
The delightful sequel to Charlie N. Holmberg’s The Paper Magician, The Glass Magician will charm listeners young and old alike.

I didn't think the accent could get worse
I was disbelieving that the accents could be worse than last time, but it really was.
The story is good. A little predictable at times, however enjoyable all the same

Better than the first book, but still too many...
Far improved from the first book. far less whinging but still too many Americanisations/ Mistakes for a book supposed to have been set in the UK. why does a US author set a book in the UK when they do not know the UK, do not research the UK, and could have set the book just as easily in the US or a mythical location???

Good story shame for the americanising
Was looking forward to listening up this but the incorrect words ie pants instead of trousers and trash instead of rubbish with an American/Canadian accent were really annoying. Not as good as first book although the same criticism applys

Wow
A great and, for me, highly anticipated sequel. I love this series of books and the narration really brings the characters to life.

If only they had a better narrator...
This one is better than the first one, and at least I knew what to expect in terms of the gruesome bloody scenes. The story was fast-paced and interesting.
However, the narrator's bad British accent was even worse this time. What's weird is that I heard her narrate in a normal American accent and it was fine - she should maybe stick to what she's good at.

Good story
Good story. Well narrated. Yet it could've had more plot. Still, I'm looking forward to listening to the third book. Enjoying the series.

Gripping!
Read the series in order. Book one is the Paper Magician and is great. This book keeps up the pace and thrills you with the action and characterisation. I sulked when I had to put it aside for work.
I'm off to find book three, shhh, don't talk to me till I'm done. :)
