About this listen
When Eddie Cartwright's reckless gambling causes the restaurant business with his partner Steph to fail, the couple seriously fall out and separate. It leaves Eddie virtually penniless and struggling to survive. In a chance meeting with a surgeon at the local park, he is offered a job working on the medic's country estate. But soon he begins experiencing encounters with ghosts, and starts to realise he is next on the list to join a bizarre collection of the living dead.

ghosts
I enjoyed the narration of Howard J Davey, who makes you feel all the bumps in the night.
Eddie is down on his luck. Having gambled away his restaurant. So when offered a chance for work, allowing him to get back on his feet, he jumps at the chance. He is offered a job at Harcourt Grange. It has its quirks.. but more strange things being to happen. It is not long before when he discovers that ghosts inhabit the dwelling, his terror is just beginning.

Superb.
Wow! this is a brilliant short listen, I wish it had been longer! LOL! I have loved all of Geoffrey's stories but for me this is probably be the best yet. Well developed characters who are easy to like and a fast moving plot make this a most entertaining listen. Howard J Davey once again nails the narration and brings the whole thing to life, or is it death....?
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review.

Fun story if you like ghosts
Quite an entertaining little tale. The ghosts are given properties that aren't usual -being able to move items and becoming solid, which isn't what is usually used in ghost stories, but it was a good enough read. Once again Mr Davey's narration is somewhat off-putting, with out of place pauses in sentences which throws the listener somewhat.

Hooked me from start to finish!
I was so invested as the story unfolded, that I finished it in one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed this unique and rather unusual ghostly tale. Bravo to the author, and to the narrator.

I did enjoy this story. It was well written and the narration was brilliant. Only down side is it wasn’t long enough.

Deliciously creepy
I'm new to audiobooks and can find the voices a little hard to adjust to, but Howard J Davey's voice was just perfect for this story of ghosts and supernatural happenings. Our hero, Eddie, through his own unwise decisions, is homeless when he is offered a job by a perfect stranger. He has his doubts but needs must when th devil drives and he accepts the offer, thus setting in motion a horrifying train of events. I very much enjoyed The Ghosts of Harcourt Grange. It was just long enough to keep me entertained and brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
