About this listen
Alice Lovesey was a poorly mistreated scullery maid whose desperate plea for help miraculously summoned Wadham Hall's rakish eighth duke - summoned him from the dead! Though caught up in the delights of being newly materialized, the duke promised to return the favor by helping Alice become a lady of quality. But did Alice's heart stand a ghost of a chance now that she had lost it to a restless spirit?

Timeless
This is definetly on my 'desert island' read lists and my first in this genre.
I re-read books where ,even though the destination is known, the author's style beckons me to review the landscape and therefore the journey everytime. This could be why her final genre was as mystery writer for both the Agatha Raisin and the Hamish MacBeth series'..
This had all the ingredients to keep me hooked: Ghost w attitude; a 'strong but sometimes añnoying character (who was not at that age) ;plus secondary characters whose parts in the various sub-stories did not follow the 'normal' denouement... which is very refreshing thinking it was written 20years ago

Entertaining bit of fluff
I enjoyed the story as something light to listen to that entertained without straining any brain cells. I like regency romances and this has a supernatural twist that was different. It wasn't too syrupy as romances go, which is good.

"Night and Day, you are the One"
A thoroughly satisfying story, just suspend reality, as one does with any Love Story, with the twist that our heroine lives her life during the day in fear and uncertainty, bullied, beaten and kidnapped, by servants and Aristocrats alike.. while our Hero lives his life at night, as a most unusual Aristocratic ghost. He comes to her at dusk and solves her problems , they are gradually drawn together He knowing what love really is, she learning! All with a Happy Ever After ending, such a clever author! More please!
