Particularly interesting for me was the evolution of his thoughts on socialism, coming from a fascinating time when actual fascism - as a bona-fide political movement (not the meaningless term of contemporary usage) was seen as a viable, progressive alternative, as large empires broke up and a new world order was being established in the aftermath of WW1.
The narration is very good and the female narration of a clergyman's daughter was a good choice too.
Fiction, autobiography and social commentary delivered with self deprecating wit
