An incredible story, terrible narration
I give it five stars because the story waa amazing but i wish more than anything they record it again with a different narrator

Fantastic Story, poor narration.
I absolutely love Glynn Iliffe’s stories. Unfortunately the narration is terrible. Why on earth does the mighty Hector of Troy sound like Mrs Doyle from Father Ted?? I’m returning this immediately and have already purchased the physical copy of the book. A real shame as I loved the narration of King of Ithaca.

Narrator ruins it
First book was great and looked forward to this but had to give up an hour or so in. The narrator really is so bad I could not listen. First time that happened for me

Comical narrator- avoid like the plague!
Who employed a narrator to interpret the Trojans as having a comic Irish accent?
Think of Mr O’Reilly the Irish builder on Fawlty Towers and you’ve got this bizarre fiasco.
Jeez! You couldn’t make it up- book returned after the first 3 chapters and I’m buying a paperback version as it’s a shame to miss such a well written book due to a clown as a narrator.

Great Story, Poorly Narrated
It’s always going to be a tough job taking over from a previous reader, but the differences in pronunciation of key character names is jarring. I’m also not a fan of the different dialects used, finding it breaking the immersion rather than contributing to it. I’ll aim to finish the series on Kindle rather than suffer through these audio adaptations.
