About this listen

After Fredrick Prato gets involved with a local drug gang and fights with his girlfriend about selling drugs, he gets on his motorcycle and rides into the night.

Unknown to Frederick, the freeway off-ramp he takes is closed, and blocked by a truck owned by TransAde to prevent oncoming traffic, resulting in a fatal crash. Fredrick's parents and girlfriend are devastated by his unexpected death and sue TransAde for carelessly creating a dangerous situation with the truck.

Daniel Mendoza and his team of attorneys must solve the mystery of why the tragic accident occurred. But can Daniel find out what went wrong, and is there something more sinister behind the scenes?

Mysterious

Well written and narrated book about the law. Tell the story with a great deal of information about the case.

Really interesting - learnt a lot

As always with a book by this author I learn a lot about the American justice system whilst getting an entertaining story with well developed characters.

At first it took me a while to get used to the narration but then it worked for me.

I was given a free copy by the author but this in no way impacted my review.

Excellent

This second story in the Daniel Mendoza saga is excellent, unlike book 1 which I thought was a little slow this one gets doing fairly quickly and the new characters are well defined and all play their part. As usual no spoilers from me but I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good legal thriller, it is informative and obviously well researched, Daniel Maldonado at his best. Once again Paul David does a great job of the narration bringing all the characters to life. *****
I was kindly given a promo copy of this book by the author and leave this honest and unbiased review.
