Summary
Like his parents Andy and Laura Friessen, Gabriel knows what it means to face an impossible situation. When he puts up an ad looking for a roommate, he never expects to meet a down-on-her-luck gorgeous single mom with a meddling family, a crazy ex-boyfriend, and enough chemistry between them to heat a county. The only problem is she doesn’t believe in happily-ever-after and sees falling in love as a mistake only fools make. But Gabriel can’t stop thinking about her, wanting her, and is determined to show her the road to love isn’t as dangerous as she believes.

Very Sweet!
I enjoyed listening to this book. It was sweet and satisfying with flawed relatable characters and a wonderful happily ever after. It was my first book by Lorhainne Eckhart and I was happy to see that it was part of a larger series focusing on a very large family.
Elizabeth is a single mother down on her luck thanks to her crazy, stalkerish ex. Gabriel has a house he is renovating and living in and needs a housemate to manage the expenses of his project. It may seem like a match made in heaven but there is the ex to contend with as well as their personal issues. I do wish that there was more of a gradual buildup from Elizabeth and Gabriel's initial attraction to the actual start of their relationship. Considering their personal issues, their relationship started a little suddenly for me.
Lili Dubuque does a great job narrating the book. She is able to give the characters voices that match their descriptions and personality.
Overall, this book definitely a feel-good, sweet romance.

Loved It!
Great characters, engaging plot and a happy ending. What more does one need. Another winner from Lorhainne Eckhart
