Paranormal Romance with Bite
The wolves are definitely in heat in this book. It is a matter of bite first and ask questions later. And once bitten, the chemistry is instantly turned on. There is no back and forth as the couple grapples with their attraction. It is just.... bite!
So while the romantic development is a little underdeveloped, Ellie Valentina makes up for it with suspense. The forest park where the characters live has a few illegal hunter running around trying to kill shifters specifically. The shifters usually don't interact with the wider world but find the need to leave the sanctity of their home to address the issue of the attacks.
The ideas in the book have potential. I just wished there was more emphasis on the relationships featured. Perhaps, as the third book in the series, one needs to read the previous books to fully appreciate the plot development. There is definitely more to it than what meets the eye.
