Captivating cozy mystery that kept me engaged throughout
I have been eagerly awaiting The Finding Machine's release on Audible as it has been on my to read pile for the longest time. I devoured this book in 2 sittings, the need for sleep and the obligation of work stopping me for listening to it in one sitting. The story engaged me from the beginning and I was immediately drawn into Alex's world, loving the nostalgia of the 90's. I thoroughly enjoyed uncovering the mystery alongside Alex and was kept intrigued throughout. At times, I had to remind myself that this story is a cozy mystery as there were times it felt like things could get very dark. For the sake of Sebastian and Sputnik, I am glad things remained on the slightly lighter side. Overall, I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable read and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
I'm really excited to read the next installment - The Millennium Affair!

I was very invested in following Alex on her journey solving mysteries and the dangerous encounters she finds herself in because of her persistence and empathy for others and their pets!

Charming and cozy
If found the story and narration (note that the narration is very British, I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea) charming from the start, the characters likable, and the dive into family mysteries cozy and comforting.
