Great story with a canny twist , well written and performed, the author has done a great job turning the genre on its head

Enjoyable Sci Fi

Not to predictable…..which was nice. No gratuitous sex scenes or mad romance, Mo mad unnecessary violence Just a science fiction story, actually quite good.

Another good book by Riddle, links in with the extinction series, and good narration, keep them coming.

Unexpectedly enjoyed this!

I'd never read or heard any of A. G. Riddles books before and took a punt on this one. I have to say, I really did enjoy it. I'm sure some folks can find fault with the plot and plausibility of it, but I liked the premise of it. The characters are interesting and believable and having listened to this I'm now a fan of the author's work. I like John Skelley as the narrator too. This was a big plus point to the overall enjoyment factor.

What Comes Next?

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book, and found myself invested in the story of Owen, Mia, Cara and everyone from Station 17. The ending took an unexpected turn which- given the current state of Planet Earth - left me seriously wondering what comes next.
A recommended read!

Very well written and narrated. The story has a great twist or two. You won't waste your time listening to this.

A wonderful listen!

I love A.G. Riddle novels, and this definitely didn't disappoint! It follows the same lines as his previous novels, and I love the character interaction and the interesting link/twist at the end of The Extinction Trials. The whole concept of this book is definitely one that makes you think, especially with the Covid-19 Pandemic still going on now in 2021 and the clear imbalance of power and resources throughout the world (the 1% vs the 99%, companies/rich owning governments, ideas such as The Great Reset and eugenics all sprung to mind while reading this novel). At times it became a little difficult to follow with Owen seeing patterns that others didn't, but they are generally explained afterwards. A very well thought-out and thought-provoking tale! John Skelley's narration was spot-on, and I love that he changes his voice for the different characters; it really helped to follow along in the story. With thoughts of our own world's future in mind, I'm really looking forward to the next A.G. Riddle novel!

Boring power fantasy.

The main hero is the smartest, kindest and has more musculus than anyone else... The main heroine has no concerns but being a good sidekick that makes hims look good and her primary concern is obsessing over him... Lots of plot holes, lots of circular logic.
It's the main hero who formulated Moore's law of course... That should tell you all you need to know about the book really.

Complex and epic

Not something I would usually read but I'm glad I did. It was an epic read to say the least, being complex and a little difficult to follow at times though came together amazingly at the end. Very interesting, certainly makes you think.
