About this listen
The Expansion: Publisher's Pack 2 includes books three and four of the thrilling Expansion series.
Conflict (book three)
Battles have been lost. Enemies stranded. The Conflict continues.
The Ninth Fleet returns to Mars after barely surviving its last brush with the Va’alen; their enemy now marooned in the Centauri system after a daring mission far behind enemy lines to destroy their gateway device.
Rearmed, refitted, and hopeful that they pack enough punch to take on the superior foe, the human fleet heads back to pit their new ships against the Va’alen swarm. But when they get there, they find the whole sector of space empty.
As they begin building a space station as a foothold in the region, their recon ship, the Ichi, is sent ahead to explore, when a worrying discovery leaves Commander Brandt and her team stranded and cut off on the surface of a strange and hostile moon.
Fighting against the clock, they face a danger the fleet might not survive, and treachery threatens everything they’ve built.
War (book four)
The universe has expanded dangerously beyond belief.
The fracturing of order back home sends Earth into turmoil, the tension affecting both near and far solar systems. Suffering from the political situation and kept mostly in the dark, the former crew of the Ichi is scattered to other roles.
Commander Kyle Torres, after the shocking discovery of the true nature of the Va'alen, is tasked with the difficult job of negotiating with the Kuldar.
Meanwhile, Admiral Dassiova is kept away from the Centauri system for a mysterious and secret purpose even he doesn’t yet understand. The rest of the team who found themselves stranded on the forest moon are drawn back into a fight with their newest enemy, but they learn that not all of their enemies are alien.
When the dust settles, the mission becomes clear. They are at war.
Continue the epic military sci-fi Expansion series today from the best-selling author of the hit post-apocalyptic series After It Happened.

Superb!
This series just gets better and better! This publishers pack combines two books which are filled with epic battles, alien contact, new planets, hidden agendas...and the characters facing conflict on Earth, in space and on different planets.
Brandt and Spector remain my favourite characters, but the introduction of a new character is brilliant, especially his skills in battle (no spoilers!)
This series just grows and grows, and I highly recommend!

Plastic production needs improving
The downfall is that in post production they’ve got double lines all over all 4 books and often especially at the start of paragraphs the start of words are missing.
This been said the storyline is kept me going and wanting moor so much I’ve just the 2 book vol’s 3&4 in a day. And might start book 5

Save your credits and money, do not buy!
If, like me, you enjoyed the first publishers pack of this series for free, overlooked the ropey writing and poor performance because the story seemed like it had merit, and you're now thinking you'll buy this and continue the story. Do not!
It is woeful, the writing falls off a cliff. The performance gets worse and you zone out for whole sections because its so blandly explained and delivered. All I will say is that in this grand space oddessy series where humanity is getting involved in a long running interstellar war with multiple species, the author has our characters running around with actual dinosaurs. It's laughably bad.
The performance is shockingly bad. All the main characters sound like they're from a New Jersey mafia family. The women have deeper voices than the men. And good lord don't get me started on the national accents..... I was appalled and offended by them.
Save your money, don't continue this series.
