About this listen

The thrilling conclusion to R. R. Haywood’s epic Code Trilogy.

After years of confinement in the squalor of the Worldship Humility’s lower decks, the Elfors are finally free. But freedom comes at a cost and as the Elfors spill through the rest of the ship they are met with open hostility. Tit-for-tat killings and assaults spread throughout the ship and Captain Helga Sveinsson is in danger of losing control.

Yet the chaos on board is nothing to the real danger facing Helga, Zhang, Sam, Yasmine and the others. They are still in possession of the code which contains critical information: the location of a habitable planet. A new home for the last of humanity. That knowledge is power and there are people who will stop at nothing to have it.

For 120 years The Six have ruled the fleet from the shadows, controlling finance, raw materials, construction, clothing, food, water–everything. Now they have decided to flex their muscles, and those they cannot bribe they will destroy. Nobody can stand against them.

But an Elforist never backs down from a fight, and this time the stake is the future of all humanity...

Amazing

Again Richard has done it again
How he does it again and again .
I’ve literally listened to every book he’s done and this book made me laugh nearly cry .
Every chapter and every character is different but it’s kept me on the edge off my seat .
Colin Morgan is amazing so funny and how he has brought ever character to a individual is amazing
Well done Richard please make this into a film and hurry and write more
Thank you

Fantastic.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series but this third book was even better. The story was very well written, in fact I loved his writing style. It has been left tidily but with room for another episode - I really hope so. Colin Morgan was a superb narrator, with so many voices for the characters and fast paced energy keeping you gripped.

Love love love - try all the books

I’m not into writing reviews that would ruin the story.
If you’re new to Richard Hayward, then take the jump. He is one of my favourite authors. You get imaginative, authentic, creative, raw and insane characters in all his books.
Richard is an expert at seeing people in real life for who they are and then applying that to his characters on the page. I don’t see that very often in literature.
I believe Richard once said that he wanted to write what we wanted to read. He has accomplished this goal and smashed it.
Thank you for your hard work.

Colin Morgan is great and has bought this to life on audible. Usually I hear the voices myself when I read a book. Audible books can ruin the story sometimes with narration.
Colin doesn’t do this, he almost makes it dramatised. He will be missed!

R R Haywood, don’t stop what you’re doing

deeply awesome

I never leave reviews but this book and the series took my breath away a little, especially this installment of the series. I don't know if this was solely down to the storytelling or the narrator but the combination of the two brought so much feeling and depth to the characters. On the edge of my seat from start to finish, feeling the pain and anguish of each brilliantly written character. action packed and that action just kept flowing. Plenty of humour, references to real life characters brilliant placed. loved it from start to finish, hoping there will be more to come in the series.

What a gem

I’m not usually a big fan with space novels as some waffle on with long explanations of tech stuff. I got the first book from the included range due to reviews and it has sat in my library for some time. I eventually bought the other two via daily deal/ sale lists. As I had all three I thought I’d give them a go. I LOVED them. The humour and story line was great I couldn’t stop listening. The narration was spot on. Plus no waffle with tech stuff. The characters were great. A definite re-visit at a later date

Excellent trilogy!

Really hooks you from the beginning and takes you on a rollercoaster ride right to the finish.
Great characters and fantastic narration. One of the best modern day sci-fi writers out there
