About this listen
It starts with a strange glowing fog that arrives at the height of a snowstorm.
A terror from the past has returned, bringing with it death and destruction that threatens to overrun the town. The old stories tell of a postwar experiment gone wrong, one that opened the way for the fog - or whatever was behind it - to begin its reign of terror.
A small team of workmen are the last hope to keep their town alive through the long, storm-filled night. But the many horrors that await them are beyond anyone’s worst nightmares.

Just BORING!
If the book was any longer I would've quit. there are no memorable characters, no moments where I feared for our 'hero' and no real sense of scale. It was just really dull if I'm honest and the narration was equally flat and uninspiring but sadly they had little to work with here

Fun little eldritch horror story
It's a relatifely short for a novel (or long for a short story), and quite enjoyable because of it. There's eldritch horrors, with some deadpan humour thrown in, it doesn't stall, and you don't get bored. Also, while it's not miles away from other stories, it's size brings focus to the stuff that happen, making it feel like different enough.
I can't say it's scary, but that never stopped me from enjoying this story.
Overall, a very solid 3.5/5 rounded up since audible doesn't let me set half star.
