Summary

That old door had been standing there for many years. Just a solid timber door and a frame. Just a door...an ordinary door....

“Are you sure there’s nothing to worry about? Nothing to be afraid of? Are you absolutely certain that it is just a door, and nothing more?”

Very suspenseful, deliciously creepy, and excellently narrated (James Thomson).

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Great story with a great narrator

I loved this book from start to finish. It would make a great short film for TV. If it had one flaw it is that it was over too soon. Bravo.

Thriller

James Thomson narration was excellent.

This book maybe short but it will still holds a punch. If you like time travel, or ghost stories you will like this. Despite his grandfather's warnings, David Ashby goes through a mysterious door and is transported back to 1891. I may think about knocking on doors...

The Door

This was a good story. There could have been more storyline instead of grandpa just yelling'don't go near it.I liked it though. James Thomson was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Brilliant!

Brilliant! this has got to be one of my favourite books of 2021. It is well written and keeps the listener on the edge of their seat from start to finish. As usual from me no spoilers but David Ashby goes through the door that stands in the middle of a forested area and takes a massive 131 year step back in time to a place where he is expected even if a day early. The story is fast paced and intriguingly thought provoking. The narration is superb, James Thomson using a wealth of voices for each different character. If ever I would like to see a book become made into a film this would be top of the list.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this voluntary and honest review. **********

Really enjoyable chilling tale

I really enjoyed this story, and I will not be knocking on any strange doors for a while. Quite chilling with some lovely touches. If you like time travel, or ghost stories you will like this. I enjoyed the background at the beginning. , the atmosphere and the ending. A short listen but a really good one. The narration is excellent, easy to listen to and we'll performed. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review
