About this listen
Rosco is an emergency room doctor with a daughter who relies on him. Between his career and family, he has little time for any type of personal life. But he finds himself flirting with one of the ambulance EMTs and, to his surprise, he gets flirted with right back.
Miguel is surprised the handsome ER doc even knows who he is. His own life is a little dull, but making eyes at Doc and getting a response supercharges his days. After he’s injured on the job, Miguel gets a firsthand look at Doc Rosco’s incredible bedside manner, not to mention the rest of him.
As the two men tentatively start exploring the attraction that has simmered for months, the head of medicine takes exception to their budding relationship. Pressure builds, and the two men must make decisions about their lives, their jobs, and the one thing that could make each of them happy… each other.

Excellent Story & Listen🎧 Delightfully Heartfelt!
This heartwarming story is the perfect book to relax with and let everything else around you fade away while you get lost in the story. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are likeable too. Dr. Rosco Mortimer works in the hospital’s emergency room and he has his eyes on one of the emergency medical technicians, Miguel Sandoval, who he remembers from high school, but he does not think Miguel remembers him. Miguel remembers him and when they bump into each other outside of work, they plan on getting together. It was great to watch these two get to know each other, and I loved how accepting Miguel was of Rosco’s daughter and how she was of their relationship. I also loved how Miguel went to bat for Rosco, who was dealing with a bigoted supervisor. This wonderfully plotted story is low in angst and has the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions, and sweet romance. Andrew Grey, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 John Solo is amazing at bringing the characters to life, and humanizing them with personality. I love how he takes each role and owns it, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. And with a vast vocal range, he was great covering the roles of all the characters, including the female and children’s roles. He sets the perfect tone for the story and you could hear how much heart he puts into his performance as he captures all the characters’ emotions, making you feeling them all. John Solo is an entertaining storyteller and his performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

Sweet, low-angst story by a new-to-me author.
I enjoyed this sweet love story between ER doctor and single dad Rosco and EMT Miguel. Medical professionals are among my favourite characters, and this story was very well written. John Solo does a great job of portraying the characters.

Tugged on my heartstrings.
I’ve been an Andrew Grey fan for a long time as well as being a huge John Solo fan. This story made my eyes leak a bit because it seemed like it could too easily be true.
I loved how supportive Rosco’s family was and how they helped him with his daughter. Miguel’s family wasn’t supportive but they weren’t totally horrid and only touched on briefly.
I loved how Miguel was able to help see that the homophobic jerk got what he deserved. I loved this!

sweet romance
This was the first book by the author that I have read or listened to.
Rosco is an ER doctor who has recently become a single father. He is trying to balance work and family life.
Miguel is an EMT who keeps running into Rosco professionally. When they meet privately by chance with children, it's the beginning of a friendship that soon leads to more.
Not a lot happens at the beginning, but it gets better halfway through.
If you like sweet contempory romances, with a hint of Grey's Anatomy, you should definitely read this book. It's entertaining, the two MCs are likeable and there's a good dynamic developing between them, there's intrigue but also likeable secondary characters.
John Solo has done a good job and has done a particularly good job with Miguel's voice. He portrayed the emotions well and brought the book to life.

Loved it!
Very sweet romance. I really liked the setting, it reminded me of the tv show grey's anatomy. There's romance, some drama and an evil coworker. It was very enjoyable. I liked Rosco and Miguel as individuals, they were wonderful people and I absolutely adored them together. Fantastic chemistry. I also really liked how the author wrote the little kids, very realistic.
It was a well written and fast paced book with relatable characters. I loved how the narrator voiced Miguel and Rosco, he really brought them to life. High quality audiobook. I loved every minute and would definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for a sweet contemporary romance.

Sweet work romance
M/M
Short story
Dr/Emt
Single father
Adorable daughter that is a big part of the plot.
Homophobic boss
This was a sweet heartwarming story with hurt/comfort which I love. Even though it was fairly short, it didn't feel rushed at all. The relationship did develop rather quickly but with their childhood history and mutual secret crushes it didnt feel rushed. It was a no angst, low steam and low drama story. It was well written and I really enjoyed the world the author created. I really enjoyed not only the 2 MCs but also Roscos parents and his daughter who was adorable. The 2 MCs were a perfect match and I could feel the chemistry between them.
I left off half a star because while we are given a HEA with assumed consequences for the side characters, my petty self wanted to see the consequences and the aftermath. Though I did find it totally swoon worth how Miguel saved Rosco
John did a wonderful job on the narration. He put lots of enthusiasm and emotion into it and brought the story to life.
In my head the name Miguel sounded maybe Mexican or another ethnicity and there's one line in the book where he says I still have to wear sun screen even with dark skin, so I felt that the voice selection for him was different than what I was expecting but I'm not going to let that affect my rating as maybe I'm totally wrong. Either way I am just very happy that there were distinct voices that suited all the characters, not just the 2 MCs. The female voices and the little girl voice were perfect and made it very entertaining to listen to.
