One of the best and I was deeply cynical.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. All the learnings are based in the real world and with strong back up stories. There are also powerful golden nuggets, such as Steve revealing how he got people to subscribe to his podcasts by just changing the story, I was one of those people happy to follow on the basis of how I was asked. It all makes perfect sense to me. These are subtle incremental details but with massive proven success. There are also big lessons for existing leaders who think they know it all. Steven walks the talk, you can tell he learns through his own experiences and is not afraid to admit mistakes or failings to expose and share the eventual pearl of wisdom. This is very endearing and honest. I can't help but admire and respect him for it, although I wanted to scoff "Peter Jones style" at this 30 something telling me that I could do better. As someone who has attended a top business school (Harvard!) I still learn't plenty. I bet his fellow dragons would too. I can tell you that this is stuff you need to know and think about, that they don't teach it to you at business school and you can easily miss it, even if you are vaguely successful. Quite frankly the thinking within this book should be core syllabus for business school but it isn't. If Branson can't tell the difference between gross and net profit (it's in here) then there is clearly a massively important amount of "business" that simply cannot be put into a spreadsheet. I have a feeling there are many more "laws" to come too and I can't wait.

Really good audiobook and book
Steven is very successful and seems like a lovely fella. It was interesting to listen to his advice, especially since the audiobook was read by him. I’ve since bought his book as well for both me and my daughter (20 years). I do a lot of reading and wanted to see what books he’d been influenced by, as he’s very well read. Also, the book will allow me to highlight key ideas for easy future reference. Recommended.

A 1000km drive made so much better.
1000km drive from the South of France with an overnight stop in Troyes (I wonder if that can be said in 5-seconds 🤓 - if you know, you’ll know).
With so much driving ahead of me I decided to have a look at what to use my monthly token on and I have to say I’m so glad to have downloaded this.
Biggest takeaways for me are both the 5-buckets and the autopsy of a plan to find it’s weaknesses in advance of its implementation.

Must read for all leaders
Will be listening to this again. Every law made perfect sense & taught me something.
I loved laws 30, 31 & 32 so much so that I want everyone I work with to read these laws and act on them.
All leaders should read this book. All wanna be leaders need this book.

Enjoyable

LAW 1… learn and keep learning, they can’t take that away from you 🎶
This listen starts with the most fundamental ‘LAW’ that any human needs in life.
Building core individual resources, resilience and resistance feels like the positive message to grow your confidence and network for personal & work life balance and success.
This is a book that you definitely wish you’d written!

Audio worth listening again & again
I love this book!

A must read for everybody in business!
I'm half the book and couldn't wait to recommend it because from the first chapter he teaches concepts and how to think about their application.
