Summary

Baseball analyst is thrown a curveball when she is whisked back in time....

And one of those curveballs is thrown by a blue-eyed pitcher!

ESPN baseball analyst Amy Spalding is swept back in time by a magical brooch and finds herself in 1909 New York City. With only the clothes on her back, a phenomenal memory for New York Giants players and stats, and a brooch that won't take her back home, she does what she has to do, pawns her jewelry.

When New York Times best-selling author Jack Mallory discovers Amy in the background of the iconic photograph of Ty Cobb kicking up a cloud of dirt as he slides hard into third base, Jack along with Kevin Allen, JL O'Grady, Connor O'Grady, and Pete Parrino launch a rescue mission to return Amy to the present before her boyfriend goes on trial for her murder.

Can the time travelers hold out against stalkers, PTSD, phobias, and failing relationships long enough to find a thief and recover the stolen diamond brooch so they can all go home? And can Jack and Amy find the soul mate of their dreams on a voyage of lost hopes and new beginnings?

Loved it. Love the whole series. The narrotor is brilliant. Best narrotor I've listened to. Now for no. 8. And hope there are many more to come after that.

Beautifully Written

Loved the story…. A bit predictable in the romance dept but it made me happy to see who ended up together. Loved a few surprises throughout and struggled to listen to it as fast as possible and stop and savor it so the story would last a little bit longer. Don’t know what I’m going to do when I read the final book of this series. Will prob need bereavement leave from work 🤣

The beautiful sexy people

I do love the celtic brooch series and this one doesn't disappoint, although took me a couple of chapters to get into this one. this growing clan of only beautiful people does make me chuckle with them all being perfect lovers lol. but then I don't read this for real world insights lol

Brilliant story shame about the singing

I absolutely love the brooch series well written books with twists and turns a must read for anyone who loves historical novels. just one fault in this one is the singing, if they had to be sung it should have been done professionally (painful to listen to !)
