About this listen
An awkward, traumatized omega and a patient alpha determined to court him properly...fate has a way of righting old wrongs.
Stolen from his mother’s arms and reported stillborn at birth, Tom spent nearly 21 years in structured captivity with other stolen omegas. His brothers. A dozen omegas, each with a secret superpower, who now must learn a whole new skill - how to thrive in a modern world.
Not every brother emerged from their past unscathed, and Tom had the worst of it. His key to survival was a healthy respect for rules. Now that he’s free, he’s still a little bit obsessive and a whole lot compulsive. He’s got anxiety, fear of change...and a list of plans for his future.
None of which involved finding a fated mate.
But if they had? His plans definitely wouldn’t have been to meet his dream alpha while smelling of afterbirth and the blood of an enemy killed in defense of his pregnant brother - the same brother whose child he then had to deliver...post-shift and naked.
If he’d been planning, if he’d made a list and checked it twice, Tom never could’ve designed an alpha more perfectly devoted than the delicious one fate put in front of him during one of the craziest days of his life...an alpha so patient, he insists on courting the skittish omega.
The West Coast Wolves is an mpreg series about five alphas. A small pack of bikers who spent years riding the highways and helping those in need until fate gave them each a pack to lead. This full-length novel is Nick’s story. Prepare yourself for a romantic courtship, a perfect first kiss, and more feels and giggles than you can handle. But then again, this is a Susi Hawke book so what else can you expect?
Possible triggers for child abduction, trafficking both past and present, and haunting memories of past abuse that included both humiliation and the non-penetrative molestation of a teenager by a person in authority.

Good balance of dark and light
This one broke my heart .
Tom has suffered a horrific past and it has left it's mark on him.
When he meets his mate Nick on what could possibly be the worst and best day of his life combined, he's completely out of his depth.
He struggles with learning how to function in a modern world he has no concept of.
I loved seeing their relationship blossom, Tom was so sweet and adorable and Nick was so patient and loving.
Nick Russo did an amazing job.

Great addition to the series, enjoyed the audio!
The series keeps getting more interesting and addictive :)
Tom had been through through a difficult time, resulting in his need for order in his life, including lists. Nick was very patient with Tom, understanding that Tom needed to get used to the idea of a mate. Their slow-burn story is a continuation of an overall arc, so is best read/listened to in order.
As usual, Nick J Russo does a bang up job with the narration! His voices for the characters suit them and are distinct. Definitely recommend listening to this (and the series).

A Wonderfully Heartfelt Story! Awesome Narration🎧
I am loving the West Coast Wolves and I think I have a new favorite now, Nick! These alphas are second born and each have their reason why they are nomads, pack tradition states first born rules, so it is not uncommon for those after to get shunned or leave their family’s pack because their is only room for one alpha. So whether they are unwanted or just chose to leave these guys formed a bond and a brotherhood, aka The West Coast Wolves, nomad on motorcycles. That was until Matt was called to help save an Omega, he not only saved that omega but he gained a mate and a pack for each of his brothers. It was pretty much the end of their nomadic lifestyle, each wound up getting a pack of their own. This third book of the series brings us Nick’s story, he became the leader for the pack in Newberry Springs, it was a pack filled with trouble, including corruption and thieves. Working with the Territory Chief Ash Woodlawn he was going to set things right, weed out the corrupt then disband the pack giving the good people the option to move to another pack. When Ash gets a call about a shooting at Lucian’s pack in Tehachapi, Matt and Nick head over there with him. And that is where Nick finds his mate. Tom was one of the omegas who were rescued in the previous book, he and the other omegas were held captive in a barn since they were young children, they were never named only numbered and he was number 15. Each omega rescued chose their own name, Tom chose his name because he liked Tom Sawyer, one of the others took the name Sawyer. Tom is kind hearted and sweet but set in his own quirky ways and the outside world was all new to him and he was a little hesitant when faced with the prospect of a mate I thought it was great how he stuck to his guns, he knew how he was and what he wanted even warning Nick of that. Nick was also set in his ways, a rule follower and a by the book type of guy. There could not be a better match for chosen mate than these tow. Nick was patient with Tom, understood his need to take it slow and it truly pays off. I loved how everything played out in this book, from the slow burn romance to Ash’s job offer for Nick to further investigations of auctions. This story is beautiful plotted and there is never a dull moment. I highly recommend this series and I am hoping there is more to come with these amazing characters in the great world Susi Hawke created. Thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I loved every minute of it.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Nick J. Russo continues to shine like the star narrator that he is. He does an awesome job portraying these characters, I love how he takes each role and makes it his own, sounding natural and believable that role. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures all the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks you for another awesome listen🎧
Thanks you GRR

Devoted to the West Coast Wolves
This is The Devoted Alpha, book 3 in The West Coast Woles series by Susi Hawke.
This is the Story of Nick and Tom (Fifteen).
Tom is an omega with a healing gift. He loves to heal and is always swotting up on all things medical.
Nick is the new Alpha at Newberry Springs pack.
Things aren't at all what they seem here, the Gamma wolves have taken over the mines on the propery and packlands.
Along with Ash the territory chief Nick finds a way to bring them down all the while safeguarding the pack.
I loved Ash, he is your typical fair but firm chief. But with the most brilliant sense of humour and fun.
Nick J Russo ably narrates this again.
Bring on number 4, I suspect it will be Devon next time.

Amazing series, totally hooked.
Amazing series, totally hooked.
I love Susi's books. Her imagination to set up new worlds for us to visit is second to none—such a talented writer.
This series is about wolves, with Alphas, Omegas, betas and Deltas, Mpreg and True Mates. Excellent writing always keeps us hooked.
Stolen from his mother's arms and reported stillborn at birth, Tom spent nearly twenty-one years in structured captivity with other stolen omegas. His brothers. A dozen omegas, each with a secret superpower, who now must learn a whole new skill, how to thrive in a modern world.
Tom meets Nick, whilst naked and delivering Charlie's child in the tasting barn, amid a mess of death, cries and blood. But all Nick can see, and smell is mate.
Nick is one of the West Coast Alpha Wolves who we met in book 1, has been given a pack of his own, although the pack has significant problems, least of all poverty. Will Nicks plans for his pack allow him time to pursue his shy and vulnerable mate.
This book has everything, deaths, birth, true mates, instant family, omega auctions, and the Happy Ever After that we all want. A great read.
I also listened to this on Audible, and Nick Russo did a fantastic job of narrating this book. I listened at 1.15 speed on Audible and loved it.

Slow burn romance
Tom and Nick’s bond sparks to life instantly but Nick woos his mate slowly. Nick was sweet and patient - I loved how he took the time to romance his mate instead of jumping between the sheets.
Narrator was fantastic!

Patience rewarded
Although this story starts with horrific things that have happened and are happening to Tom as he meets his alpha, Nick, it is actually a story about gentleness. Nick is so mature that he immediately senses that in spite of the fact that he and Tom are fated mates, Tom will require time, attention and lots of TLC in order to learn to be less anxious and fearful of taking any independent action that is "outside the rules". Watching Nick give him both care and space and watching Tom blossom was just lovely and Nick J. Russo's performance was a perfect match for this book. He caught all the delicacy and nuance of their burgeoning relationship as well as the heat.

Wonderful addition to the series!
I enjoyed the ebook a lot and as always with any book written by Ms Hawke, the story is amazing!. All of the books on this series follow the original premise, each one managing a piece in the great puzzle adding their own twists and turns in the story alongside, fated mates, healing love and family. In this book 3, Tom's sweetness and innocence is so cute and endearing, and is complemented perfectly by Nick's protectiveness, respect and understanding. The few angst situations, action and danger and a well delivered justice and more answers to the mystery was simply perfect and got me at the edge of my seat the whole time. After all this, how can this book be even better? Easy, with a narration of the wonderful Nick J Russo. He has been narrating this series beautifully and I truly loved every one of his performances for each of them, and this one is no exception. He has amazing acting skills, a charismatic nice voice and an agile and fluid storytelling. A wonderful addition to the series, amazingly narrated by Mr Russo.
