About this listen
In The Devil Duke, the beautiful but scheming baroness will stop at nothing to keep her man from falling for his new waifish house guest, to no avail. We catch up with the jilted aristocrat in The Demon Duchess.
Abigail Sutton does not take kindly to being dumped. Desperation leads her to seek comfort in the arms of her surly horse trainer, the mysterious Jack Johnson from America. A night of fleeting passion results in a life-altering “predicament”. Now, the baroness finds herself fighting for the attentions of an entirely different sort of man - a man who is much more than he seems - a man who might just offer her the family she’s never had. That is, if she can prove to him she is not just a pampered pain in the ass.
Her pursuit of the handsome but stubborn drifter lands the baroness in Montana of all places, where she will learn plenty of new skills - rope-tying and lasso-tossing, just to name two. Many surprises are in store for the newly thawed ice queen.
Heartbreak over one man will lead to true love with another....

A fabulous second chance romance
This is a brilliantly written second chance romance, it's entertaining, witty and very engaging. I really enjoyed this storyline, the premise is different than the first book in the series; however, it remains just as satisfying. The characters are well-developed, intriguing, and three-dimensional, with depth, vulnerabilities, and the capacity for growth. Abigail, the interloper in Izzy and Trevor's story, is the lead female character. Tessa Bowen cleverly introduces the real Abigail masked behind the veneer of an aristocracy, redeeming her into a woman that the readers/listeners root for. The enigmatic hero, Jack Johnson, is a super-hot American horse trainer and a complex character.
Jack's treatment of Abigail at times is hard, due to emotional barriers and his preconception of Abigail, believing her to be spoiled and entitled. Their relationship intensifies gradually, once the two-act on their desires, their connection is explosive and quite sensual.
Virginia Ferguson's performance is excellent. She does an absolutely outstanding job with the narration, immersing the listeners with all the animation and emotions found in the pages. I particularly enjoyed the low timbre she used for Jack's voice and Ducky's quacking. Overall, this is a fabulous story, and I highly recommend it.

Great Story! Great Narration!
The Demon Duchess by Tessa Bowen pulled me in immediately. Baroness Abigail came across much kinder in this book than in the Devil Duke. I enjoyed her banter with Jack Johnson aka John Jackson. This story is full of unexpected turns, it has incredible imagery, and a wonderful storyline. Virginia Ferguson performs this book with distinguishable voices for the various characters and brings them to life. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

A duchess of a listen
Book 2 in the series but it can be listened as a stand-alone . You see the characters in book 1 and this is their story. Tessa wrote this story in 2 continents . It takes a female that is lost and hurt and betrayed that is seeking confirmation about her worth . Heroine is Abigail . Hero is is Jack /John .
Abigail goes to see John for a night of passion .Abigail feels let down and betrayed and she sets out to feel like she’s worth something. John /Jack gives her that feeling. As Abigail follows John she ends up in Montana. While in Montana Abigail has to lean a new way of life , one that she’s not use to. The life is totally different thane what’s she’s use to .
Virginias voice was perfect for the story . Her voice was strong and clear. Her voice for the characters were perfect

Baroness Abigail Sutton and John Jackson
The writing is done very well, the characters are complex, and the situations they end up in after one night. Two people running from their own demons. Overall, it was a unique read that touches upon difficult situations and inspires strength, forgiveness and love. There are a lot of surprises in this wonderful story. This book has a lot of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The narrator (Virginia Farguson) does a fabulous job with this beautiful story. She has a marvelous voice and does a brilliant British accent.
I enjoyed listening to this book and I definitely recommend this book!

Really enjoyable
I really enjoyed this book. I feel this book was more enjoyable as I had already met the characters in book 1 and felt like I knew them already. They have great quirks that will have you laughing!

:)
A nice continuation of the series. Book one left the duchess heart broken and I think a little lost. I was really glad she came into herself more in this book. For a adult she has a childlike wonder about her, while being loyal and jaded at the same time. She’s a complex one. I could predict somethings, but it didn’t take away anything from the story. The narration was good except for one thing, the male voices. They didn’t sound anything like I’d pictured in my head. To me they sounded slurry, almost as if ones trying to go for a drunk male voice. I’m really glad this couple found their HEA.

Who doesn't want a second chance at love
what a great story, not read many second chance romances, but this ticked all the boxes for me, 2 different worlds colliding and then the chemistry between the two leading characters was hot!!..add to that the hilarious banter between them, and you have a hell of an audiobook

I just love Cowboys
As with The Devil Duke, I loved the story as written by Tessa Bowen and the narration of Virginia Ferguson. Give me British accents and an American Cowboy and I know that I am set for a good listen.
The story included a few surprises which made this even better.
will be listening to more by Tessa and Virginia.

Second chance at romance
This was quite different than the first book of the series. Yet we see both the main characters in the previous book. Abigail is an jilted aristocrat who deemed a romp with her horse trainer John or is it Jack, would help her get over the Duke Trevor. Jack/John has much to hide yet we find him to be very loving of his surprise offspring. I found him to be immature with Abigail’s past. I felt like strangling him at times and saying get over it already.
The narration was well done by Virginia Ferguson. The writing is superb. Can’t wait for the next book.
I was lucky enough to be given this audiobook and my review is based sorely on my opinion of this audiobook.
