Summary
THIS AIN'T A JOB FOR THE GOOD GUYS
Varcade fled to the deserts of Harrah to escape his past as an Educator, a member of an order of zealot warrior-monks that aims to shape the world according to their sacred Teachings by force. Varcade makes his living as a reckless sword-for-hire, caring only about himself, until his self-centered lifestyle is turned on its head when he is contracted to recruit a misfit team of unruly assassins and take out the mighty Bone Lord of Akrab.
But the Bone Lord is aware of the plot and sends her band of Dusters to stop them; individuals who have gained bizarre and lethal magical powers by snorting the pulverised bones of dead gods. Hunted by Educators and Dusters in a city-state where an escalating conflict between the human and demon population threatens to boil over in a civil war, will Varcade and his ragtag crew save Akrab from the cruel Bone Lord, or will they make things even worse?

Fun and Entertaining.
Damn that was a fast, fun, and absolutely hilarious roller coaster of read. The Crew by Sadir S. Samir is his debut book and the first of his upcoming series, The God Dust Saga.
This is a fantastic story, written with great prose, very witty, an action-packed romp adventure full of colourful and crazy characters that will have you laughing your socks off.
The Crew rolls along at a fast-paced speed that keeps hooked from the very first page. Wonderful worldbuilding, setting, and plot full of off the wall adventures and crazy heists.
The main protagonist, Varcade, is a sword for hire, a bastard, loves himself, he is sarcastic, takes no responsibility for his actions, and I absolutely love him.
Varcade fled his home of Harrah to escape his past as an educator, a member of an order of zealot warrior-monks that aims to shape the world according to their sacred teachings by force.
Varcade makes his living as a reckless assassin in a world where humans and demons co exist together, just barely, tensions are rising, and a revolution looks very imminent. When he is approached to put a gang of misfits with a plan to take down a figure of authority, the mighty Bone Lord of Akrab.
The Crew will face all obstacles of unruly demons, magical bonedusters intent of killing them, and making their mission impossible.
For all lovers of fantasy with a comedic twist, full of all the fantasy tropes of old, check it out, cant wait for the next book, I very highly recommend...😁💙🔥⚡️

Thoroughly good fun.
This story is so much fun and made me laugh out loud a few times. Great characters, all fuck ups in one way or another. The world is a great mix of new and exciting races, there are no elves and dwarves here. I loved it.
Good narrator but the way he reads is a bit odd. Couldn't tell if it was him or the way the book was written but he made all the characters sound unique so overall a good job.
