Summary
‘A wonderfully cosy festive treat’ My weekly
Ollie Spencer has started a new life in the idyllic Cornish seaside town of Port Karadow. Throwing herself into her job at the town’s bookshop, A New Chapter, is one way to make friends. The shop is glitzing up for first Christmas and Ollie hopes her inspired ideas will give the shop the edge it needs to dazzle the town.
But far from being the Sugar Plum fairy the place needs, Ollie is fast becoming its Christmas pudding. With the bookshop’s success at stake, Ollie turns to twinkly-eyed café owner Max for help. Can he help Ollie to turn the page, and put the sparkle back into her Cornish dream?

bad pronunciation and muddled up counties
Please I wish the narrator would learn the correct pronunciation and the writer even the correct word. Grockels is a Devon work in Cornwall the are called Emmets. please get your facts sorted. however even in Cornwall the devon way of cream first is better

From a Yorkshire woman who loves Cornwall.
So many clues to another novel about a Yorkshire woman and Cornwall in this Cornish town and I loved the plethora of ideas for the bookshop’s promotion of community and of reading. I spent 40 chapters looking for connections to the cream tea bus ,,,,, so I appreciated the yoga class and the fireworks. I look forward to future novels which might include both couples etc. etc. ( Maybe Max and Ollie use the CTB for an event.)
I loved the Liam/author twist including Arabella.?
Whole thing brilliant. Brilliantly written by Cressida MC Laughlin and superbly read by Bea Holland.
I am so looking forward to another novel. The only one not read so far because I am saving the carols for Christmas 24. Keep up the good work!

Have loved every book in this series.
New characters, new settings, this book did not disappoint. I did read the previous book to remind myself of the people involved. It would also read well as a stand alone book.

What a series!
This series of books never fails to disappoint. The strong character image that is built with every new book, along with a continuation of interwoven characters from previous storylines wraps you up in a warm blanket and invites the reader/listener on for the ride. Bea's narration is exquisite her voice is so easy to listen to and every character is perfectly bought alive through her accents.
