About this listen
Elise Morley is an expert on the past who's about to get a crash course in the future.
For years, Elise has been donning corsets, sneaking into castles, and lying through her teeth to enforce the Place in Time Travel Agency's 10 essential rules of time travel. Someone has to ensure that travel to the past isn't abused, and most days she welcomes the challenge of tracking down and retrieving clients who have run into trouble on their historical vacations.
But when a dangerous secret organization kidnaps her and coerces her into jumping to the future on a high-stakes assignment, she's got more to worry about than just the time-space continuum. For the first time ever, she's the one out-of-date, out of place, and quickly running out of time.

Here we go again!
I think I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would initially. The story starts off in'our' past. I was expecting a lot of it to be dated around 2012-ish and throw ideas of what 2020 would be like, but nope, and it was actually really well done, and sets the scene nicely for the story the book continues with.
I did predict the ending early on, but that it was more of a guess than anything. The ending was really nice and if I hadn't been shopping at the time of listening, I might have shed a tear.
I would suggest that you listen in high quality for this book as I found my ear buds weren't quite up to the task in low quality sound for a certain part of the book. Can't really say more than that due to spoiler though.
There are a few loose ends that need to be cleared up, but as with all time travel stories there is usually a way to answer anything.
Looking forward to Book 2, and where the adventure lands. It's certainly going to be an interesting story now the concept has been laid out.
I'm not usually a fan of female narration when they try to do deep male voices, as it normally doesn't work. However, Jennifer did a great job with this book without over doing it and would be happy to hear her reading the rest of the series.
