great guide to loose weight

This book is very helpful for anybody who wants to learn how this unique eating habit can help facilitate weight loss even in those of us who are a bit older. It's a well known fact that weight loss gets harder as we age but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Intermittent fasting is a great way to help loose weight even for older women and has been scientifically proven to give a host of positive benefits. I liked how there was information for women premenopause and post menopause, it truly is comprehensive for the age group.

Great guide

My wife wanted to see what intermittent fasting was all about and this audible delivered everything and more! She said it was super helpful to understand how it could benefit her, but then also give the really easy to follow strategies that she started straight away. She is confident that all the benefits will come flooding in after a shortwhile of revisiting this audible to help the messages and strategies really stick. Her favourite chapter was "meal planning" because she said without this knowledge, you will never succeed with your goals for weight loss and more energy. Highly recommended.

Great guide to the benefits of IF!

Great guide to revamp your diet and change your life through what you eat! While diets may seem like fads, the book explains why age shouldn't be a barrier - it is all about lifestyle for the long run and applicable over 50. All of the myths I heard and worries I had were debunked. The benefits are real and I'm excited to try it out! I am amazed to learn about all of the transformative effects of IF, especially when combined with exercise for maximum benefit. The book provides great advice for preparation and meal planning along with the "EAT method" which emphasizes adaptability. That was a problem with my mindset for previous dieting attempts, so I really appreciate this insight and am excited to incorporate the lessons in this book in my own diet and life!

Finally a useful fasting book for women!

Newman's book on intermittent fasting caught my attention because it talks about how it can be good for your health. I liked that she got into the science of it, covering benefits from brain health to managing diabetes. Right away, she makes it clear that intermittent fasting is not about starving yourself—it's more about finding a rhythm that works for you. She highlights the fasting method she recommends as the key to the program.

The book is organized well and has a practical 28-day meal plan to help you get started. I also like that Newman included some meal planning as well. Toward the end, there are some recipes, though they don't include serving sizes or calorie counts. But Newman points out that counting calories matters less in this kind of fasting.

In the end, Newman's book gives solid info and sources, presenting a system that many people can easily follow.

A great book

I've read a couple of books on intermittent fasting. This is my favourite. Lots of information but easy to ready and take in. I'm definitely going to give it a try now.
