About this listen
Commander Karter is a Prillon Warrior. His first duty is to protect his people, to defend the Coalition worlds from a fate too terrible to comprehend. Battle is his life. His heart. He fights. He has never once been selfish enough to believe he deserved an Interstellar Bride. Until he’s matched at the worst possible time.
Astronomer Erica Roberts has always dreamed of seeing the stars. Volunteering as an Interstellar Bride is a win-win, not only will she be able to see the galaxy, but she’s more than ready to take on the two alien warriors she’s been promised. She’s all in. But when she transports directly into the aftermath of a battle, she quickly learns this won’t be an easy match. Her two commanders are torn between battling the Hive and battling their need for her.
If a new Hive weapon can destroy a Coalition battlegroup in the space of a single heartbeat, what will it do to Commander Karter’s match? And how is he and his second supposed to keep their mate safe if they can’t even save themselves?

Star Trek eat your heart out!!
This book is absolutely brilliant!! Brilliantly written and brilliantly narrated!! There is nothing bad i can even think of if I'm honest and in my reviews i am always honest!!
That's not to say everyone would agree, but as I said, this is MY review!!
I'd never heard of Grace Goodwin, until i read this book on Dreame and then i found that there was this audio too. So I bought this and as I was only on chapter four, decided to go back to the beginning and listened to it as I read. Because of this i won't be buying it off of Kindle, as I'd already bought the book on Dreame.
But can i say that I was surprised to find that this book is actually book 15 out of 24!! So I will be buying most of the books from Kindle, as again, I'd also bought 3 other books of hers on Dreame, prior to finding them on kindle and audible.
It's a well thought out book, where women from earth are sent to other planets, to be mates to different aliens out there. Each one is tested and then matched with with a certain percentage of them being happy with the chosen mate, or in this case mates, plural! Erica comes out at 99%
But what she expects to receive along with her mates, a collar, is not given to her, her primary will not give the collars out. These collars will link Erica to both of her mates, in a way that she is desperate for, letting each of them know what the others are feeling at all times!!
To add to this they are under serious threat!!
Narrating this are 2 narrators i have come across before, those being James Anderson Foster and Kelsey Navarro, and then one I've never come across before, Rock Engle. I've got to admit that they work very well together on this audio.
James does the narration for Commander Kaed Karter, Kelsey for Erica Roberts and Rock for Commander Ronan Wothar.
There's plenty of angst by her primary Kaed and James is brilliant with a clipped edge each time he does the voice for Kaed.
Rock is great keeping Ronan a more easy going fun natured second and
Kelsey absolutely knocks it out of the ball park....is that the saying??.....as the feisty intelligent spark which is Erica's no nonsense grab you by the balls female she is. And trust me with those two she needs to be lol.
Regardless, they all have great range throughout their individual chapters and it really brings those three characters careening towards what ends up being an explosive match. I really don't think anyone else would have worked out so well. They are all extremely talented narrators and really help to bring this book to life.
I for one thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully if you give both the book and audio a chance you will too!! Definitely one to recommend.....
I hope they do the narration for some of the others too.....hmm 🤔🤔 I'm off to see, cya 👋🖐👋🖐

Missing wow factor
This book did not excited me like some others from the series. Commander Carter is well adore in a lots of other stories and I was hopping for a bit more .. the story was ok but for me it was lacking that wow romance factor which I liked in some other books from the series. However I like the women character she definitely know what she wanted :)

Not believable
Ok, here is the deal I need the writing to immerse me in the story so I believe it could be real. No matter how preposterous, ridiculous or insane the concept is.
Unfortunately this wasn’t the case here at all. The way things happen wasnt believable and there was no explanation to change that, the worst here is that being a sci-fi erotica there was so many changes to explain, yet we get f#€% all. The spice was just lukewarm at best.
But the narration was really good.
