About this listen

Gilly was more than happy to accompany her sister, Angie, on a coach trip to the Loire valley. Angie was going through a humiliating divorce and Gilly was going to offer her some moral support. She didn't always get on with her sister, but was sure she could put up with her for a week, if only to get a break from her domineering husband, Charles. The change of scene would do them all good.

But she hadn't expected to find herself travelling on a coach full of pensioners, along with a hopelessly inefficient drug smuggler and a driver who made her feel like a lovesick teenager, despite being nearer to her fifties than her teens.

The week away leads to some hilarious misunderstandings and some life changing decisions, as the two sisters enjoy a holiday together that neither of them will forget.

Another irresistibly fun romance, perfect for fans of Katie Fforde, Jill Mansell and Veronica Henry.

Perfect holiday read

I first read this book in paperback about 5 or so years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it then and was delighted to listen to the audiobook. This version is enormously well read by Gill Mills who really brings the characters to life. With the summer season approaching this is ideal holiday reading. This book has plenty of laughs and is hard to put down. A heartwarming story of Gilly, taking a break from her disappointing life and stepping into a new world where she’ll meet and make new connections on the way - and maybe be tempted to make some different life choices - listen to The Coach Trip and find out what she does, you won’t be disappointed. I was very kindly given a free link the audio book, all views are my own.
