Summary
From Sunday Times bestselling author, Nora Roberts, the final thrilling instalment in the epic Dragon Heart trilogy.
It's time for the final reckoning....
With Odran's defeat at the Battle of the Dark Portal, his quest to rule over Talamh and Breen has stalled—for now. But the terrible battle and heart-breaking losses have taken their toll. It's a time as painful as any Breen has ever known as she helps to treat the wounded, bring the dead home from blood-and ash-soaked battlegrounds and support her friends and family in their grief.
With the enemy cast out and the portal sealed it is a time to recover but there is little time to rest. Soon the enemy's witches begin to appear to Breen in her sleep, practicing black magick, sacrificing the innocent, and plotting brutal destruction. It is time for Breen to seek out those in desperate need of rescue and confront the darkness with every weapon she has.
An epic battle is coming. A battle Breen cannot afford to lose....

Great end to a great story.
As the title said, but I would have liked to hear more about their life after the battle as well. And im suprised that there werent more casualties. I excpected a bit more difficulty in the last battle.

Fitting series finale
A fantastic finale to the Dragon Heart Legacy as Breen Siobhan O’Ceallaigh fulfils her destiny in confronting her grandfather Odran in the hope of defeating him once and for all and thereby saving not only Talamh but all the worlds beyond from death and slavery.
Nora Roberts has woven together a fantastic mystical world of fae and Sidhe, trolls and merpeople. Of dragons and witches, of gods and demons. Of magic both light and dark and the choices people make which will decide their path in the upcoming battle where not everyone will survive but who will be immortalised forever in song. The character development throughout this trilogy has been amazing especially with Breen as she goes from a timid school teacher with no knowledge of her heritage to a fierce warrior willing to lay down her life for the people who had welcomed her into the homes and their hearts and along the way she even managed to teach Keegan, the Taoiseach a trick or two. The only issue I would have with this book is to with the romance element. I just felt too much of the story was given over to Breen’s relationship with her best friend Marco instead of with Keenan, her love interest. I just didn’t feel any real chemistry between her and Keegan possible because the majority of the time they spent together involved her training but I felt she would turn to Marco before anyone else. This is just a small niggle, I didn’t listen to The Choice expecting romance and I loved the overall story.
When I started this series Barrie Kreinik was a new to me narrator and, unlike a lot of narrators, she has done a fantastic Irish accent for certain characters without coming across sounding too shamrocks and leprechauns making The Dragon Heart Legacy a trilogy I’ll definitely be listening to again.

MASTERPIECE
Cried for the dragons and Sedrick. I loved this story. In the book I could not help but see, maybe, a little of Nora in it, hope it is not the case and she had support from her loved ones from the start. Great job and thank you for the stories.

Enthralling
Totally loved this series. First set of novels that I have listened to on audible.. The narrator was excellent at changes voices and accents for each character. Could easily envision both worlds she had created. Hopefully I will find more of a similar nature.
