really good. can't switch off book
really good book. heart break to joy. shame there isn't follow up on the other girls stories. especially with the 2nd world war coming. would of been good to follow there friendship. especially Hil and the children. them growing up.

Great story, appalling narrator
I loved the story and will read more in the series, but not via audible. The narrator read the whole thing as if imparting terrible news. Very depressing. Also she really needs to learn some pronunciation! wizened NOT wise-end, gnarled NOT ger-narled, blaggard NOT black-guard etc
