Summary

THE SUNDAY TIMES NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER

Be careful before answering your next call. It could be the beginning of your worst nightmare.

After a tough week, Tanya Kaitlin is looking forward to a relaxing night in, but as she steps out of her shower, she hears her phone ring. The video call request comes from her best friend, Karen Ward. Tanya takes the call and the nightmare begins.

Detectives Robert Hunter and Carlos Garcia are thrown into a rollercoaster of evil, chasing a predator who scouts the streets and social media networks for victims, taunting them with secret messages and feeding on their fear.

From Sunday Times Number One Bestseller, The Caller is as addictive as a TV boxset! Read for you by Thomas Judd, narrator of Bailey’s Prize winner The Power, Chris Carter’s One by One and Slade House by David Mitchell.

A good find for me

this is the first book by this author that I've listened to. Bit much on the gory side a few times but I skipped few seconds if really too much, but otherwise a really really good story. Narrator was very good too. Will be looking out for more by Mr Carter, especially with the same narrator.

Brilliant as always

Love all of Chris Carter’s books and I think that Thomas Judd is perfect for the narration of his books. For me he has become the voice of Robert Hunter. I just wish that we could have my two favourite books An Evil mind and I am Death remade with Thomas narrating so I could enjoy them as much as I do the rest.

Great

Loved this book. The storyline was excellent and the tension throughout was palpable. Trying to guess who the killer was and his reasons for murdering the victims kept me on the edge of my seat. Well worth the credit. I also thought the narrator was perfect for the book.

I didn't expect to enjoy it as much!

The first few lines of listening to an American narrator (ONLY because I'm so used to british) was very strange, I was almost certain I was going to give up after 5 minutes being the stubborn idiot I am, but am I glad I didn't! It was like listening to a movie being narrated, the story was really good, kept me hooked!
The only thing I found a tiny bit irritating was a couple of the female voices. They were portrayed as very stereotypical trashy American young girl, which almost made them unlikeable, even when we should have totally been on their side being victims.
Overall very very pleased I stuck with it, and will be less judgy next time, ha!
