About this listen
The Bugville Critters stories address all the major issues of growing up and are designed to appeal to the ever-growing interests of children three to eight years old. The stories combine facts about our natural world with fictional stories that instruct and entertain.
Robert Stanek wrote The Bugville Critters books as bedtime stories for his children. His children enjoyed the stories so much they urged him to bring his stories to life for other children to enjoy, and that is what he set out to do.
This production, great for younger listeners, includes four Stanek favorites: Visit Mom and Dad at Work, Go to School, Have a Sleepover, and Visit Garden Box Farms.
In the first, Buster Bee is going to visit Bee Hive, the factory where his dad and mom work. He is practicing to be a Super Helper so he can help out. He learns the importance of hard work and also learns a lesson about eating the right foods.
In the second, Buster Bee goes to B. Havior School. He meets his new teacher, Mrs. Beeswax, and learns an important lesson about why it's important to make friends and be friendly.
In the third, Buster Bee invites Sarah Silkworm over for a sleepover. Sarah and Buster are working on a school project together. Sarah and Buster learn it is okay to be afraid of the dark.
In the fourth, Buster Bee and his friend, Sarah Silkworm, visit Garden Box Farms. Sarah and Buster are working on a school project about farming. At the farm they learn about growing fruits and vegetables.
What are you waiting for? Join us on a journey to Bugville where you'll meet Buster Bee and all his friends.
