About this listen
Britney Spears is the ultimate Queen of pop. This unique audiobiography reveals her untamed rise to fame. She was groomed for stardom, spending her early childhood performing in talent shows and at eight years old she was snapped up by a New York agent. Britney spent her summers in New York studying at the Off Broadway Dance Centre and the Performing Arts School - doing commercials in her spare time. When Britney joined the Disney Channel's "Mickey Mouse Club", she gained invaluable TV experience and her career took off when she was signed by Jive Records. This is not a music release by the artist or record company and sound quality may vary. In this exclusive audiobiog Britney tells how she deals with fame and all the years of grooming. She is one of pop's most exciting artists and she says, “I want to be an artist that everyone can relate to, that’s happy and fun." Fans, music collectors and music historians will enjoy Britney's Story.

Eva Umbauer and Pierra Peronne host this informative and entertaining trip down memory lane, back to the height of Britney-mania!
In The Britney Spears Story: A Rockview Audiobiography, Umbauer and Peronne combine a fairly straightforward history of Britney Spears’ early life and rise to worldwide fame with interview segments in which Spears herself shares reflections on the joys and sacrifices inherent in the life of a pop music superstar. The audiobook is generally upbeat and optimistic in tone, and balances fun anecdotes about touring and life in the public eye with more introspective moments, in which Spears comments on the nature of celebrity itself. A light, fun piece, and well worth a listen for any late-'90s music buffs!
