Summary

When Arctic guide Edie Kiglatuk stumbles across a body abandoned in the Alaskan forest, she little imagines what her discovery will lead her to. With the local police convinced the death is linked to a sinister Russian sect, Edie's friends insist she leave the investigation to the proper authorities. But Edie cannot get the image of the frozen corpse out of her mind....

Not brilliant but OK

This story meanders a bit but the descriptions of the landscape are good and draw you in

Beautifully read, great idea, the writing fails it

The narrator's tone really helps to evoke the stark Alaskan setting and Inuit characters
I really enjoyed learning about Alaska and the people and politics; however, the writing lets it down in many places. Nevertheless, I DID finish it, and sort of enjoyed it to the slightly unsatisfying end.

utter drivel

poor storyline, bad grammar and far too many awful metaphors. One sentence ended in TWO prepositions. There appears to be no DNA testing available to check the identities of dead bodies! boring deadpan narration does nothing to rescue it.
