About this listen

Dragons, mischief and mayhem abound in this wonderful third story in the Boy Who Grew Dragons series.

Tomas can't imagine life without his little dragon, Flicker. He's become more than a pet - he's a friend like no other. And growing dragons on the dragonfruit tree in the garden with his friends Ted, Kat and Kai is the most amazing thing ever.

But Tomas has promised Grandad something - that he and his friends will let their dragons go back to where they belong. The only problem is - that isn't such an easy thing to do. Not when they are still having so much fun with dragons Flicker, Sunny, Crystal and Dodger. Not when they still have to work out where the dragons' home is and how to get the dragons to leave. And not when Tomas is so close to uncovering the true story of the mysterious dragonfruit tree....

You have to read these books!!

Amazing set of of books, my 5 and 7 year old couldn’t get enough. Please write more!! Lovely themes of friendship and not judging others. Just some great values wrapped up in a fantasy tale of magic and mystery that will have kids looking out for dragon fruit and giving it a shake!

Brilliant

My 5 and 7 year olds were captivated by all 5 books and I feel it is a book we will come back to many times. As with all of the books in the series I like the way lessons about friendship and and emotions are subtle woven in alongside the excitement of having dragons to look after

My 8 year old loves these books!

'They are really good mum, you can actually imagine what it's like to have a dragon. You actually float into the story and it's like you're really there!'

Dragon excitement

I like dragons because dragons are my favourite imaginary animal. Story was exciting and funny. The narrator brought the story to life. My son and I both enjoyed a lot.
