Summary
I never thought in a million years that the bones would choose me.
The power, the magic, was supposed to go to someone else in the family. I was counting on it.
But now my Grammy Ruby is gone, and here the bones sit on my kitchen table.
I thought bitter relatives would be my biggest problem. But I’ve barely had time to find a familiar before trouble comes a-knocking. The kind that possesses smoldering green eyes and a smile that can turn any woman dumb.
His name is Rogan Kendrick, and he’s certain that someone is hunting down and taking my kind.
According to him, I’m next.
This is a world that I never wanted to be a part of, but magic gives no f--ks and takes no prisoners.... At least we have that much in common.
I don’t know what my ancestors were thinking when they chose me, but I’m going to give them a run for their money. My name is Lennox Osseous, but you can call me the Bone Witch.

Couldn’t put it down
Our mfc becomes top bone witch suddenly and struggles with it all as she refused to get involved with magic and wasn’t properly and traditionally trained. She is forced to gets involved in a mystery by another (hot) powerful witch and a lot of action, drama and sexual tension happens (nothing but kisses in this book so, don’t get your hopes up 😭). It was fun and left is full of unanswered questions.

Great start!
I have loved this pnr story! I haven't read/listened to one in quite some time and this story has left me wanting much more. Good, interesting and appealing storyline, which introduced a wide cast and settings, I was pulled in from the start. Told from Lennox's point of view, the story carried me along. Good narration by Amy Hall further enhanced my enjoyment. 💖💖💖💖💖

Emotional Rollercoaster
An amazing start to the series, an absorbing plot that hooks you right away and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved Lennox and Hoot, not sure whether I love or/and hate Kendrik, but his skunk brings some fun to the tale, I don't think we've seen the last of Lennie's horrible relatives though! I definately can't wait for the next instalment, it can't be soon enough.

Overall I would have liked it more if
not for the constant reference to existing fantasy novels like the witcher and LOTR. I feel like this made everything feel less magical.
Also big trigger warning for constantly mentioning of Harry Potter. Honestly even if the author wouldn’t be so extremely problematic, this feels weird and out of place. I also feel like this is a very American way of swearing where it feels extremely misplaced and unnatural.

Couldn’t stop listening
This book series! Wow… I just couldn’t stop listening. I think I finished all 3 in a few days.
The narrator did an amazing job at bringing these stories to life and doing them justice.
So, if you’re someone like me who struggles to get into books, read this series! The fantasy, action, and underlying burning romance will completely draw you into the characters world.

So good
Lennox isn’t prepared for what she finds when she comes home from work ,when she realises she been chosen by the bones her life will never be the same. The first meeting between Lennox and Rogan isn’t the best but you can feel the tension between them from the start. When he tells her what’s really going on she knows there’s more to come that she’s not going to like. Amy Hall narrated it perfectly and I’m looking forward to book 2.

He is a 10 but…
Rogan is a 10 but OMG Lennox is a force to be reckoned with! I love her. She made me laugh so hard. I love the ennemies to lovers to ennemies trope here! It just makes the story so delicious I’m right off to downloading book 2
Special shout-out to Tad and Hoot 😂😂😂 the whole cast in this story deserve their own stories.

Fun and flawless
Ivy Asher has such an enjoyable writing style. Don´t really want to add anything to this statement. Just finished listening to The Bone Witch, and am just stuck there. Happily dazed.
Love the story, it is phenomenal. So well written in every way. The characters are great, love the heroine, the storyline has unexpected twists and turns, not a dull moment in sight, light and fun, even when something not that great is happening in the story (how is that even possible?) … Interesting, fun, sane and unpredictable storyline all the way. To add to all that, Amy Hall´s narration is flawless.
